Family members of molested
by RubyTuesday inwho here has had a family member molested by a jw?.
my neice was molested by her jw step father.the elders went to court in his behalf.the congergation banned together and sent an avalanche of letters to the court, stateing that he was a good clean christian.the judge believed them over my 11 year old neice.he was sent back to live with her.. this was at an english speaking congergation in salinas california.if anyone knows an elder named deitrick(not sure of the spelling)beware!!
!he will protect and cover for pedophiles.

In therapy I told my psychiatrist about an incident in my early childhood that I never forgot. He helped me to understand that this was borderline child abuse and very inappropriate. We had to address this a lot in therapy because the activity was masked in play and I liked it a lot, for which I had always felt guilty. It also received the tacit approval of the other adults in my immediate family. There were some mixed messages about it too. The relative involved apologized to me just before shunning me. I have always felt close to this relative and still really love this person.
My brother's wife and her sisters were also molested by a close relative.

i remember you told me about this in an email and i cant imagine the pain you must be feeling on this day.
my mother committed suicide on september 15, 1985 and that day always brings up the pain as if it were yesterday.

Witnesses attacked by demons!
by dsgal indoes anybody remember all those stories in the awake!
magazines about witnesses being attacked by demons?
i wonder why they never print anything of this nature anymore?

Yes, I definitely remember those. It even happened to a young girl in our congregation. My mother told me this story when I was very young. The sisters got together and did a witch hunt, found some old religious material in a back closet in the house and had it destroyed. It wouldn't burn at first, so a brother doused it in gasoline. Eventually it caught fire and burned. My mother warned me that if Satan ever talked to me, or the demons ever started to molest me in bed at night, to call upon the name of JEHOVAH and then come and tell her.
Hard to believe now, but as a child it really scared me!
