  Imponderables -- Why would God Almighty Need a Day of Rest?

  another thread reminded me of some of the things i used to think about growing up.

  here are some of the things i used to think about back when i was a doubting jw.... why would an omnipotent all-powerful god need a seventh day of rest?

  and if he was everlasting to everlasting, don't you think he was already bored with resting and that's why he started creating in the first place?

  i start my vacation tomorrow, and afterward i will be taking a break from this board.

  logging on here day after day in hopes of meeting up with a family member is taking its toll on me.

  so after 4 years, i need a break from it.

  Who would tell 9/11 survivors to just get over it?

  maybe the same people who post on this board and tell us to just get over it.

  i get so tired of them dismissing our experiences and trauma by saying "why do you have to tear jehovah's organization down?

  just get over it and move on!".

  Do you miss fictional characters?

  i just finished a 970+ page book this weekend, a breath of snow and ashes, and now i'm bummed.

  i miss claire, jamie, brianna, roger, jemmy, ian, fergus, and marsali already.

  it will be one to two years before i find out what other surprising twists are in store for the time traveling fraser family.. the lord of the rings was the same way.

  Thou Shalt Not Consume Peanut Butter Before Thy God!

  here's what i don't get about some religions.

  maybe someone could explain it to me.

  okay, hypothetically, let's say you belong to a religion where one of the "rules" is that you shouldn't eat peanut butter.
