That's weird, but pity is what I have for people like you that have been manipulated and blinded by Satan.

You have to pity them
by Brummie inwhen you encounter a jw who doesnt know you, do you tell them you are an ex?
or pretend otherwise?.
last night we were understaffed at work so had to call in an agency worker, i had to leave her in charge of 4 adults with autism while i did the rounds on call, every so often i called back to make sure she was coping ok. we got on well, chatted away and then at about 5am she starts witnessing to me...i end up coming home with 5 magazines..lol, she "placed" them with me.. i didnt want to tell her i was an exjw as it would have ruined the working relationship and made her feel uncomfortable.

A question for Sword of Jah
by AwakenedAndFree indear sword of jah, .
please explain to me this watchtower doctrine, which still stands today as a revealed truth from the faithful and discreet slave class revealed in 1935 still taught today: .
judge rutherford, representing the watchtower society announced in 1935 in a convention that the doors to heaven were shut down in 1935, and the gathering of the annointed class was accomplished in 1935. .

Jehovah did not lie. He allows humans the priviledge of investigating his Word to find the truth. Obviously the scripture in Matthew was misunderstood for many years. Jehovah reveals information in its due time. After another careful examination of the scripture, this was clarified.

Sword of Jah: Re:Omitted Scriptures - NWT has no footnote explanations. Why?
by AwakenedAndFree indear sword of jah:.
the watchtower society omitted the following scriptures from their new world translation bible without a footnote explanation to readers explaining the reason of omission.
here are the missing scriptures - i'am referring only to the ones i know - there may be more: .

In conclusion, don't you think if the larger version includes explanatory footnotes, the smaller versions should also, to make all WT published Bibles equal?
What's your point? It's a silly question.

We believe it was clarified by his organization that is guided by Jehovah.

No, the year 1935 is not in the Bible. The organization now uses the expression "in the 1930's". The organization uses these dates because that's when the information was clarified as to the identity of the "little flock" and the "other sheep".

Taken from the Reasoning Book:
Why
are some verses apparently missing? Those verses, found in some translations, are not in the oldest available Bible manuscripts. Comparison with other modern translations, such as The New English Bible and the Catholic Jerusalem Bible, shows that other translators have also recognized that the verses in question do not belong in the Bible. In some instances, they were taken from another part of the Bible and added to the text being copied by a scribe.

SOJ explain how your conscience allows you to post on Apostate site?
by LyinEyes ini am really curious as to how you will answer this soj,,,,,,,and any other active jw's who post here, even read here,,,,,,,,,because when i was an active witness,,,,,,,,i was taught that reading any apostate material was wrong.
i didnt even watch a tv show that talked bad about the jw"s for fear it was an apostate program.. i know if you are caught soj, posting here,,,,,,you would not have been reinstated( you were right?
), so did you tell the elders you post here?

LyinEyes:
I will explain why I believe that I'm not sinning nor going against the Faithful & Discreet Slave for posting here.
First, as JWs we should not associate with those that are disfellowshipped or that are apostates, that is clear. I don't believe I'm associating with anyone by posting in this forum. I don't get into the "chit chatting", "fluff". I only get involved with Biblical topics and those threads that are attacking my faith and of Jehovah's Witnesses in general. For example: if I'm out in service going house to house and the householder is an ex-JW or disfellowshipped and he asks questions or attacks my faith, I would defend myself. That would not be associating but witnessing. The same case happens in this forum. Now I know that I voluntarily visit this forum, but as many of the posters have pointed out, not everyone here is an apostate or disfellowshipped. Some here are inactive, some are fading away, some just lurk out of curiosity. I also post for their benefit.
Do I visit for my own benefit? The answer is no. I don't need the forum to feed me spiritually. Has it been eye opening? It sure has. I see that some are just plainly disgruntled over getting disfellowshipped. Others are angered because of injustices caused by fellow Witnesses in their congregations. Others have just been confused by apostate doubts. Others have lost faith in Jehovah and are not willing to wait on him.
So in conclusion, why do I visit this forum? To witness.

To "my brother" SwordofJah
by ScoobySnax ini don't think we're anything alike from what i've read of your posts.
i'm interested to know what you think...... an old saying comes to mind though:.
"you laugh at me coz i'm different, but i laugh coz you're all the same" .

SwordOfJah
My, my, what I surprise to find this thread again this morning.
integ: Sword of Jah is the perfect villian, and Scooby Snax is like his/her manager.....I want to be the announcer/interviewer.
Stynkypantz: So SOJ no one else is sincere and reasonable? If you think that others fit this description, does it mean that you like us too?
No, that's not what I said. I was simply stating why I like Scooby. There are others that I appreciate: DJ because he is reasonable and I'm able to have a peaceful discussion with him. HILLARY-STEP (when he's not insulting me) has a very interesting view point specially coming from his extensive JW background. CRUZANHEART, I like also although she might not like me that much. Integ also is interesting, he doesn't insult and I enjoy his humor. I also enjoy jst2laws and shera. Just a few off the top of my mind.
Xena: Your alike in that your both a bit of naughty....posting on an apostate board
I prefer to use the word BRAVE.
ScoobySnax: ...and I want to pay tribute to SwordofJah...... whatever they say, I'll watch your posts carefully. I think alot of the time you are wasting your time chucking scripture around, and trying to reason. I know exactly where you're coming from though.
You're not like me in lots of ways, but you are in others. I respect your cool stand, never getting narked like I do when you get so much stick. I hate seeing nastiness shoved your way.
Thanks!
But like they sa y, we put ourselves here, so let 'em fire!! Ha ha!!
Very true. That's why I don't let it get to me, but if the insults start getting rediculous then I just quit that thread.
drwtsn32: What's unreasonable is that JW's automatically dismiss different opinions as wrong, irrational, or Satan-inspired.
That's not true, not every different opinion is irrational or Satan-inspred. But the ones that fall into that category are very easy to spot.

The Society's response to my letter regarding my dad's suicide

To cruzanheart:
(I am posting this private email I sent you since that's what you prefered).
I wanted to let you know that I did not intend to offend you nor your husband by my post regarding the response from the Society to your letter. I was only presenting a view that you might have missed.
I am very sorry about your dad. I know how it feels, I lost mine 5 years ago and I remember that day as if it was yesterday. It was a different circumstance than yours, but I know I felt a pain that is undescribable. He was my best friend. I'm sure your dad was a great man and Jehovah does remember him and his faithfulness.
I mentioned the words that the Society wrote on the first paragraph as being a hope, because that's what got me through such a hard time. The resurrection hope is very dear to my heart. I hope you find comfort in Christ.
Your brother,
swordofjah
