I started growing my beard the day I got DFed. And guess what, even my JW girlfriend and my other JW friends that still venture to talk to me said I look more matured, or rugged, and they like it. Actually, more JW girls seem to be fascinated with me, and when no one's looking, would greet and even invite me over to their place! I also noticed almost all youths who left often grow a beard over here. Then, even many JW youths are tending to leave their facial hairs until they are called "to order" by the elders.

Music Upon Your Exit
by RAYZORBLADE ini know this topic has been touched upon from time to time.
i haven't been on here regularly in many years, but i know what it is like for many; or those that are on their way of exiting the organization.. what songs do you recall or remember during your exodus from the wtbts ??.
i left mentally in the late autumn of 1983; apparently (i don't know officially...but does it really matter?

what is the earliest age you heard someone get Baptised?
by enigma1863 ini was curious what is the youngest age any jw has been baptised.
i thought it was hypocritical for jws to say wait for marriage because its such a big deal but "why wait to get baptised".
i think my step sister was 11 years old.

I was dunked at 9. Was already an atheist at 7, then did my dedication to Big Jay at 13! Funny sequence, right? 10 years after, DFed!

Stop Putting Apostate Stickers On My Literature! They "Cost Lots of Money!"
by AuntConnie in"true story" the circuit overseer came to our kingdom hall and read us the riot act (local needs style) "magazines of this quality are not free, they cost money and we are not generating enough donations to defray the cost of the magazines(or running the top of the line printing presses) i get my ass out of bed to place literature in the laundray cleaning, coin opperated shops and some asshole puts his apostate stickers on our magazines.
do you know how hard it is to get up at 6:00 am and how expensive those magazines are costing the organization to print?
please stop defiling our literature, i dont post hateful stickers on your website so please leave my magazines alone.

@Defianttruth, I appreciate your enthuasiasm in your response. I'd love to write my thesis on the Jordan-Wigner Transformation of the XY Model, a quantum mechanics problem on one dimensional spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain with the Hamiltonian H = J∑ i S i S i+1 . This, though, might be subject to amendment by my project supervisor if he feels the depth of the research is too low. Let's leave that for a while, maybe I could get to talking that later, here is a poem I think my supervisor would have deemed too shallow in illustrating the depth of your feelings, and the narratives of your past. Despite my earnest endervor, all I could manage was a cold summary of your otherwise warm prose, please, let's blame it on the writer's block! LOL I have titled it 'Deviate' in poetic tandem of your profile name
Alright, here it is:
Deviate
Once upon a time, a story
Told, of pain and of glory;
Of an ant as defiant
As an elephant;
Of a religion of Hates
From which He deviates.
Of people, His parents
(But, hey do hippies pay rents?
But sorry I deviate
I only to humor relate).
Who thought
School wasn't that cool,
And were taught,
It was for fools!
"The best life-course-
A Bethelite's,
For which school course
Really sheds 'new lights'?"
The whips lash down.
For Discipline is nothing but a clown,
Who when in town,
Made His laughter a frown.
But the tables turned at 18,
200 pounds, and still a teen!
He grew and Dad's waned thin,
But abuse was not His thing.
No escape from Congo, baptised.
For you see, freedom is quantised;
Bound He was, a POW,
Solace, by the PO 'W'.
Family aplenty, and are odd
When they fight for the Lord;
Yet, against all odds,
He survived, with electronic boards!
Of similar sides, six
Of one, Physics:
Science truth seeks.
So, aided by Purdue's grade,
He begins to fade;
But behold, and lo
Love and Belly grows,
Oh, no!
Does the word 'disfellowship'
Really makes this fellow cheap?
Time counted hours, and counted eight
And here He and story deviate!
You've got a life,
Wonderful children, loving wife
Who crazy rides thru JW Drive
To understand still strive.
And in December,
You became a member,
Of a site solid like timber,
For people of mine and thine caliber!
Welcome.

Moving, and eerily similar story with mine! And more coincidental is, we studied/study similar courses. Presently, I am doing my Masters in Mathemathical Physics. My parents really were harsh on me too, although on retrospect, here in Nigeria, it's common to be beaten as a means of discipline, I hate the cane! In fact, it was the punishments that made me a kinda atheist since I was 7, for a day I prayed to Jehovah: "Please do not allow me to be beaten today, I'd do all my best to be a good son and faithful worshipper,please!" Needless to say, I got beaten that day, so I lost faith in him. My father and mother without doubt loved me, and while they planned me to become a Bethelite, they also did all their best to give me a sound education. Even with my DFed status they are still financing my schooling. Sometimes tho', they really feel the schooling is responsible for my defection- what can I say, it is and it is not! I got baptised early, at 9, pioneered straight up and stuff, was very brilliant in academics and got scholarships . . . It's you on the spot here, so let me stop my driveling. I am a good poet too, and I write beautiful poetry. Maybe, I could write your story in a poem, if you'd allow me, would you?

Report 2012. How many "real" Biblestudies are they in Jehovah's Witnesses??
by Dold Agenda inbiblestudies in the report, is the numbers they show us correct?.
i've been thinking of this, and as i am from sweden i use my own country as an example.. to notice is that sweden is high penetrated of internet.
the young ones here is often really good in english.. and i suppose that hardly one third of the jw kids finaly get baptised.. at most positive.. .

You know why they can never get those report things right? If I can't make a bible study, I sure can make one up. I even record the time and study I spent with my friends arguing AGAINST the Bible and God, afterall, it was talk about Bible, and I was very regular about it! A Bible joke said regularly with a colleague is a study! If I make a goal of 100hours, 30rvs, 10bs I'd always make them, or do you know how much preaching I do in my sleep?!

20 JWs died in a bus accident enroute to the convention recently here in Nigeria. Yes, Jehovah's hand was definitely seen in it- they were already running late for the convention. So Big Jay says, "You guys are going to my place late right? I'm gonna show ya what it means to be late." Now they are all late! LOL And they(WTS) were even late about the air crash stuff anyways, because another church here in Nigeria already used that pitch with one of its members, and they got a mighty shoutdown for it. Also, a married man that was supposed to be on board survived because he went to an hotel room instead with a lover, he did see Jah's hand in it, because he went for Thanksgiving afterwards. Wrong man, if you want to thank Jehovah, you go to the bloody Kindumb Hell, not a church!

Hey, c'mon guys, Naija guy in the house! Yes, you could play them on with a new e-mail, and waste their time ( although , most of them virtually live thier lives around their computers). You could also report to our EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) online. In fact, you should definitely report it. A caveat though, not all emails with the Nigerian heading are actually from Nigerian scammers, other people just use the theme because of our well-touted corrupt practises. Funnily, most Nigerian scammers now evoke other countries to avoid detection by those wary of Nigerians. Truth is, if you can dare, Naija is one place to make a very very quick large buck of Government money, risk is high tho'! Ironically, Nigerians can be good business strategists, but the bad name taints them. I'd recommend dealing with one, but thru your country's embassy in Nigeria where they can verify information for you. And one thing, it's worst enough dealing with a Nigerian or a Jdub, NEVER deal with a Nigerian Jdub!!! ll
