  Ya because the Jews go over to the Palestinians area and use suicide bombs to kill them and they shoot rockets randomly at them, oh wait that is the Palestinians. Pete, you are being obtuse on purpose or by lack of understanding. It does not matter if giving the Jews Palestine was right or wrong it is and we all have to deal with what is. Its about as stupid as saying we need to give Manhattan and the Black Hills back to the Indians. LMAO Or the insanely stupid idea of reparations to some black who may or may not be a decedent of someone who was a slave 165 years ago. Try living in the now. I would bet you dimes to dollars that if the Palestinians stopped firing rockets into Israel and stop the suicide bombing and attacks that there would be instant peace.   As I said, I am an Atheist and do not give a rats ass if two men or women want to marry or live together. Its none of my business. I don't see the bible as the word of god and I for the most part ignore it. But to tell us that the bible is OK with being gay is pissing in my ear and telling me its raining. Its total BS.. The bible is very clear on homosexuality. Sorry if that offends you. You may be the one with issues.

  Most of the OPs points are taken but homosexuality is a sin and forbidden in the old and new testament. I have always found it strange how some want to reconcile the two. I don't believe in the bible as the word of god, I don't care if two guys or women want to live together or marry. That said you can not reconcile the two positions. You get people who are trying to twist what the bible says to make their point. Jesus was an Illegal alien, Jesus had not issue with homosexuality. That is total BS and anyone who has read the bible knows it. If a person who was gay was alive in any of the biblical times where the bible and or mosaic code was law they would be killed for being gay. The Romans and Greeks has no real issue with it, but its clear that being gay is not a life style that is OK according to the bible.

  Israel has Nukes. And more than a few. They would turn Iran and the Saudi's to glass if the threat was real. The Palestinian have shown them self to be unwilling to work with any solutions outside of all Jews walking into the sea. So they will get more death and destruction.

  yesterday my congregation met for field service and the elder taking the lead did something not so smart: he brought up the child abuse situation and the recent news articles hitting local news across the country.

  he said 'you can see that the persecution is really coming' and that we should be ready if someone complains about it at the door.

  (funny how it's persecution when it's us and righteous judgment when it happens to the other churches.

  a canadian woman not too long ago said to me (spontaneously - i did not bring up the subject) the following words when she heard the live tv news broadcast, which dealt about the immigrants being held at dozens of detention centers in usa: "i am canadian, and i have been living here illegally for 29 years.
