Covid Vx likened to Jesus ransom

this morning i decided to log into the local cong meeting on zoom, during the public talk the speaker likened the covid vx to jesus ransom sacrifice, saying that those who didn't avail of the vx, the 'anti vaxxers', are just like people who refuse to put faith in jesus.. i felt sick, knowing my unvxed but active jw parents were sitting there, i logged off immediately.

surely such talk is pure blasphemy or am i just over reacting?!.

i appreciate your thoughts, it will hopefully help me to approach my jw family with facts and logic, i'm praying they wake up fully and 'get out of her', i know they have reservations that's why they refused the vx..

@punkofnice I fully agree with you 😅 my parents weren't at that meeting I learnt afterwards, dad's an elder, and I told them about the talk. They were apologetic, reminded me that the speaker was from another cong, and that a few of their elders are not vxed so at least in their cong it's not being pushed. I, however, find it somehow worse that none of them stood up and corrected the public speaker!!

I was aware of the UN connection but not the other, just googled it and the list of compliance regulations explains so much about the org and how it operates in such an unchristian manner!

Haven't many countries that already belong to NATO and the UN recently signed up to an agreement that the WHO has the final say on animal, human and planet health? That would make the WHO extremely powerful, they can overrule local governments for any perceived pandemic human or animal, as well making laws to 'protect' the planet.

"The racket was the Kingdom Hall loans. The interest on the loans created cash flow, to where remodels were remodeled, cash flow. The KH was then dedicated to "Jehovah" aka the WTB&TS. To where they had a world wide real estate portfolio, with the only expense being the paper the contracts were written on. Evidently this was illegal as it was shut down by somebody bigger than the church."

Do you know roughly what year this was?

Reinstatement Procedure

what else has changed?.

during the many years i have been df'd the org has printed a new bible, new song book, doctrinal changes, so has anything changed re reinstating someone?.

i'm contemplating the leap for family reasons but due to my job and young family commitments there is no way i would be able to attend every meeting for months on end.

Thanks everyone for all the advice, I do appreciate it!

I was df'd for leaving my abusive JW husband for another man, I went from full on zealot to 180° turn around. I was told I'd never survive out there in 'the world', the first feeling I felt driving away from the judicial committee was immense relief, a huge weight was gone from my shoulders.

I didn't have to pretend anymore, I wasn't watched anymore, I was completely and utterly free, the emotional blackmailing eventually also stopped.

Did I feel bad when I bumped into JW's in town and they shunned me? No, I felt relief! I knew I wasn't getting an earful of passive aggressive nonsense anymore.

Why am I contemplating going back?? Well, I think I would have more of a chance to reach the few people who are still in, but they're the ones I really care about, and I know they have questions about things since the whole COVID scam.

I would fade as soon as I was reinstated if I can even get that far, I have my doubts because I am the kind of person who shows their feelings on their face, at least so my friends tell me!

I am too independent now to ever fall for an organised cult ever again.

Something I picked up from the Beroean Pickets site is that the Israelite nation was a sovereign nation with its own judicial and legal system, independent of other nations. Christians, regardless of denomination, do not have a land or a nation of their own, they are all subjects of the rulers and authorities that hold power in their respective countries. This is why Jesus ordered to pay back Caesar's things to Caesar, and God's things to God. The law of the land must be obeyed unless it expressly forbids us to worship our God. And even that is my own interpretation because Jesus didn't specify, but we have the example of first century Christians who refused to stop worshiping and preaching despite having been ordered to do so by the secular authorities.

If JW can break the law to rat on a br or sr then how come they obeyed Caesar's COVID-19 restrictions to stop them from going from house to house, and from gathering together? A clear case of a law going against us giving back God's things to God?

I know they use Zoom meetings and letter writing as an excuse that they were still giving back to God.

During the many years I have been df'd the org has printed a new Bible, new song book, doctrinal changes, so has anything changed re reinstating someone?

I'm contemplating the leap for family reasons but due to my job and young family commitments there is no way I would be able to attend every meeting for months on end. Does zoom attendance count nowadays?? Or would I be expected to visit KH in every place I'm working in that week?

Also, my understanding is that based on the baptism oaths of 30 years ago a df'd person is no longer baptised on being reinstated, how is that viewed by the org? The oaths make one a dedicated and baptised person to Jehovah (not Jesus as the Bible states) and the WT society, by dfing they have effectively annulled the baptism oaths?

Another question, if reinstatement is successful, is the person required to sign a new Publisher record card, or do they still have the old one and simply continue its use? Reinstating request would be to a neighboring cong to the one where I was df'd as I live in their territory now.
