You MUST Sign the Data Collection Form "...obey...whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.¨"
by gone for good inthe many and complex issues surrounding the collection of person data and new laws aiming to protect individuals control of their own privacy, seem to have hatched about the same time as the governing body expressed their hope that it´s own 8 million would obey their order to "sign this form" effectively transfering total authority over privacy and data issues over to the borg.. what are your thoughts on this coincidence?.
zuckerberg lost billion$$ when people realized that he had prostituted their personal data and now wt wants the same signed access that he had to info that is $$$.... wt already owns all the real estate and now wants to own all the data.... it´s a current and global issue - please share your thought with the rest of us here.. .

I agree with Phizzy that this can backfire. It is very patronizing for the English pioneers and their families to presume that they can communicate the message to Irish people better than the Irish themselves. I have see this elsewhere, where exemplary pioneers are invited to to work a campaign in another part of their own country. A local pioneer was offended because she felt that the target territory was already overworked, that they had worn out their welcome. But she didn't quit in protest, since it would weaken her husband's position as elder.

The strange case of Gerrit Losch
by Gorbatchov inone of the recent molest cases had a signed declaration of gerrit losch, stating he has no relation with watchtower and that he has no control over watchtower and he does not answer to watchtower.. this month he is hosting the watchtower broadcasting show, on a watchtower media chanel, with a watchtower president starring as co-host, with statements, media and music that have intellectual ownership and copyright by watchtower.. gerrit is asking on broadcasting for respect for “the slave”, just like jehova and jesus respect “the slave” and will even reward them.. are the writers of the statement too stupid to see the correlation between teaching and practicing?.
these man are proven liars.. how can hold this firewall stand?
it’s so thin.. a judge can see this mismach isn’t it??.

It is interesting to see the GB members getting entangled in court cases one by one. Loesch had to lie his way out of the Padron case in San Diego, putting him on public record as denying the very position he is demanding respect and trust for in this month’s broadcast.
Jackson had to testify in Australia to avoid arrest for contempt of court, then lie about his true position.
Sanderson made quite a show attending the extremism hearings in Russia, then fled the country as soon as the JWs were banned, leaving the Russian JWs to suffer for decisions he and his cohorts have made. The Russian court only had to call two witnesses to demonstrate the extremism of the JW organization. One was a woman who had to flee an abusive JW husband then was shunned and the other was a man who had to forego an education as a result of the pressure the org puts on people to avoid education. They don’t want these aspects of the case to be discussed among their followers.
I would like to see the Canadian Supreme Court subpoena Splane, the Canadian member, to answer for the policy of shunning in the case there.
Each one of them should have to answer for their actions in a court of law. Shame on them.

March 2018 Broadcast - When quotes become rumors
by Listener inthis months broadcast is presented by losche and he discusses the need for trust in the fds.
the following is transcribed from the 12.30 mark.. satan also has the scheme to spread rumors about our brothers including the faithful slave.
the method of spreading rumors is not new.

Since Loesch references court cases plural, another court case he might be referencing is the Osbaldo Padron case in San Diego where Loesch himself tried to hide his relationship with wt. It is interesting that his sidekick for the broadcast is Leon Weaver, the new President of the Pennsylvania Corporation. I guess since that case is now closed he can show just how close he is to the corporation.

Marriage Proposal in the Kingdom Hall
by Listener injust when you think you've seen it all comes another interesting use of a kingdom hall.a young man serenades his girlfriend with a song (possibly a watchtower song) from the stage through a microphone and backed by recorded music.
then he steps off the stage and gets down on one knee and proposes as he pulls out a ring from his coat pocket.
the large projector screen flashes up behind them with a picture of a sapphire and diamond ring.cameras capture the joyous moment as she accepts and they lock together in a loving hug.

I wish them well. This is kind if sweet, considering this KH is likely the place they spend most time together. It is also likely the place they dream about having their wedding at and taking most of their outings to in the next 40 years or so.

"Jehovah" and the less emphasized "Jesus." WHY?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthere has always been less emphasis on jesus, and more on the name jehovah.
if jesus played for the wtbts baseball team, he would play right field.
he would be good enough to start but by playing right field, he wouldn't see too many baseballs hit his way.

In my opinion, the word Jehovah is used more like a brand for the wt product than as a reference to God. They only use the name Jesus when they recognize that he is supposed to be the leader of the Christian congregation.

New Member Of The Governing Body 24 Jan 2018
by pale.emperor injust seen this announced on reddit:.
ken cook was announced today at morning worship as the new member of the governing body.
i dont recall him from the broadcasts, but he was formally a helper on the writing committee as per https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/governing-body/.

I don't know Ken, but from the few facts I have read about him, it appears he is another born-in who has been institutionalized his entire adult life and has never had to make a living in the real world. I wonder if a big part of his decision to start partaking was for job security, since his prospects would be bleak outside the tower. Where else could he get a job writing cult propaganda?

Goodbye my friends.
by StephaneLaliberte infor almost 12 years now, i have been coming to this site on a regular basis and in the last 5, i “faded out”.
i never regretted this and never will.
unfortunately though, yesterday, i realized that, until i can publically tell all my old acquaintances why i have left, i will never be truly free.

Couple of real gems in the WT study for this upcoming weekend
by sir82 insince blondie seems to still be on sabbatical, i'll take the liberty of highlighting a couple of "gems" from this week's upcoming study, from the article "reject worldly thinking".. from paragraph 12:.
is it true that succeeding in a secular career that offers power and prestige leads to lasting happiness?
remember that the craving to control others and the longing to be admired are the desires that enticed satan, but he is angry, not happy.. .

These are indeed gems. Gaffs like gem 1 make me wonder if they are Freudian slips or if the writing department is slipping them in, knowing that the GB doesn't really care what's written.
At the annual meeting, Tony accused the r&f of not reading the magazines, which I took as an admission that he doesn't read them either. I think they each only care that their pet ideas are showcased, like Tony insisting they show wayward young brothers in tight pants, with one even stripping off his pants and hanging them on the wall for all to see. That obviously came from his sick mind and is his hallmark.
The GB members also don't have to suffer through WT studies. They are usually entertained on the weekends at assemblies or real estate dedications. After enjoying lunch hospitality they likely nap during the wt study, so they have the energy for their afternoon performance, likely dreaming of evening hospitality. Their rotund bellies and repetitiveness are the best evidence I can offer for this theory.
