I usually dont ask permission to post anything. It seems kind of funny to be concerned about that. Why cant we all just do what we want to do? Post when we want to, dont post when we dont want to. Reply to someones insults when we want to, dont reply when we dont want to. Seems rather simple to me, it's all our own choice what we do on this public forum.

Daed, it's actually being published in December 2001. I dont know why January 2002 is posted on the Amazon website. The date is correct on the Barnes and Noble website.

What Do You Do?

Corporate drone at this moment, "working" as a legal secretary in a very slow law firm at this time. I'm a terrible employee because I dont enjoy my work at all. What work? Plenty of time to post and read here.... Hmmmm. I also wait tables part time. I'm quitting the day job soon to go wait tables and I'm seriously considering going back to school! Yay!!

The Watchtower Ruins Children and Families

I also have seen most of the kids that I grew up with in my congregation leaving the organization. Some continued, and lived the double life. I think that 75% number is about right.
This org really does screw up kids though. Guilt and fear are no way to bring up healthy children with healthy attitudes. All I can say is that my parents did a good job at "trying" to be good JWs. Thank goodness they failed, and were "bad" JWs. The Watchtower didn't ruin my family, because we all escaped! We are OUT and FREE.

State of My Faith

and, as we all ponder our past jw religion, and the events of the day, i need to take some time to address matters of my faith, as i look for some answers.. when adam was created, god did not wait for adam to play a guessing game and start praying.
rather, god reached out to adam.

I just wanted to say that I like the way you write, and thank you for sharing your deepest thoughts with us. I am not so eloquent with my words, but I find myself this year coming to the same spot that you are in and identifying with your words. It's funny when you let go of everything you've ever believed, how it just brings you back to square one.

How Does One Find Another Religion

i'm having a hard time just picking up the bible & reading it - but i'm terrified of picking up any "study material" from other organized religions to help.

Another thing that really bothers me... the holier than art thou attitude of most christians. I was there, I once probably said the same things as many of them did.
Wow, getting out of the BOX opens up the world so much. Tollerance and acceptance, what is wrong with that? The attitude of I am right and you are wrong is what I cannot ever be a part of again. Embracing questions in life is so much better than having a pre-made packaged DEAL. Just my little old opinion.
Please dont be sad for me. I'm much more open in my life and feeling free than I ever have been before.
