  was just reading on freeminds; was asked by a mormon poster on another board, to give a brief history of jw organization and i came across the following (here is the link: http://www.freeminds.org/history/5_eras.htm ):.

  "finally throw out their "1914 generation" teaching with the october 15 and november 1st, 1995 issues of the watchtower, which was one of their main playing cards.

  but simon says, "it's no thang," while older witnesses know better.

  Can anyone expand on this? Particularly the throwing out of the 1914 generation doctrine; and the breakaway groups. Even just a link to a site where I can read a bit more detailed stuff on this would be great. :)

  Watchtower - Thongs, how will they affect your JC?

  my little protest on how elders treat women in jc's (see the flock book regarding thongs) .

  (sorry, changed the post from one that was about michael jackson to this one.... i thought that the mj one was a bit too mean) .

  Hubby passed away this morning...

  i want to thank all those that helped and encouraged me in my hard times!..hubby passed away from his cancer this morning.

  i am so sad my heart is broken.

  we decided to go ahead and have a memorial for him this weekend at the kingdom hall he went to.

  the society likes to call all those who follow their teachings "sheep" or "sheep like ones".
