  the money grab continues!!

  at a very recent circuit assembly (usa), the accounts overseer gave the typical accounts report for the ca in the early afternoon.

  there were 2100 people at the assembly.

  At the assembly hall in the South East I attend has a budget requirement (Expenses incurred at this assembly) Totaled $30,000.00 with an attendance of 2,100 or so...

  The Elders were not happy about this and the Circuit Chairman explained to the audience that these funds were for other areas less fortunate and not a direct cost reflection of our assembly.

  I actually appreciated the transparency...

  It is still a TITHE no matter how you try to spin it though...

  i am physically in and mentally out.

  well i will not be offering a tl/dr version as that would be too difficult and it would also be an oversimplification of how i got to see the man behind the curtain.. my story begins at the 2016 regional convention of jehovah's witnesses.

  Dream scenario: Everyone is made aware of all the wrongs, the false prophecies / CSA problem / Double Standards -

  and they would not shun, how many would jump ship?

  My parents are fully aware of the sins of the Org. yet they insist on it being a choice of lesser of the the evils and echoing the sentiments of Peter who said ' Lord who else shall we go to'

  So maybe not many..

  so here is something else that helped me wake up -.

  the elders manual - shepherd the flock of god contains a special caveat for elders who have committed adultery some time ago (not sure how many years, 'some time ago' is, but probably based on a complex formula of donations and # of assembly parts given.).

  but basically, they can just get a talking to by 2 brothers and then they can keep on keeping on.

  I was removed for far less sins - and it was due to the recency of it, despite my continued exemplary conduct and field service meeting attendance. So yes Blondie is correct.

  That's the is short of it.

  So this is definitely a good old boys club rule to protect the club. If you are doing other things then it's the judicial ax for you.

  TL/DR - If you are going to cheat on your wife, make sure you are appointed and don't tell anyone once you do cheat for at least a few years. This tricks the Holy Spirit into not revealing the matter.
