Another CO leaves the Org.

anyone hear of a derek gertzen?

he was a co that was fresh out of bethel a few years ago and now is df'd...he was my co when i was still in and he was an awesome person.

no idea if he woke up?.

so i doubt out of all the pimo's someone hasn't been able to leak that they had the annual meeting.

does this mean that there was not one for the first time in jw history.

imagine you have a spoon and you dig out one scoop of soil from the ground in central new york.

then you put that soil in a bag and carry it with you as you travel from there to the grand canyon.

you repeat these steps until you have created another grand canyon in new york and filled the original one in arizona.

they have an episode coming up on demon stories that gets into the psychology of the situation and explains so much we faced or face as pomo.

also i recommend listening to the episodes on the matrix as the parallels to jw life are amazingly similar..

Donating Blood a Disfellowshipping Offense?

when i served as an elder i never heard of this scenario presenting itself - giving blood.. has anyone heard of a judicial case where a person donated and was disfellowshipped?

are there any references to this in the jw publications, manuals, handbooks?.

Why does the Borg never use the terms Grace or Ezer

let me start with: this is not a discussion of the validity of the bible or whether it is inspired of god.. my question is why do you think they don't use grace in their teachings when this is such paramount teaching in the rest of the christian world.

and why do they not reference the hebrew word for helper in genesis 'ezer'.

this word as applied to a woman seems more dignified as it carries the connotation of strength where the man is weak.

Why the Oxygen Special will not work like we think it will...

within the very documentary is a reason i think that jw's for the most part will not wake up even if they watch this program.

the one lady actually saw as her family sat behind the abuser in court supporting him despite the established fact that he had abused their very own child.. this shows how deep the indoctrination is.

i am not saying that some won't wake up, but the majority will carry on, not even because they think these things are lies but because they will look past that at all costs to side with jehovah.
Bluffton Indiana Congregation

they are currently 'remodeling' the bluffton congregation.

a few years ago they sold the decautr kh and sent the publishers to bluffton, now they have to go to huntington.

rumor from some of my family is that they are going to remodel and sell it as it sits on indiana 1 in prime real estate.
