Romance status
by Crystal injust curious as to who is single and who is not on this board.i have been with my boyfriend going on 3 years now.
we just moved in together in feb.for the most part we get along great but he has some weird habits.he also thinks i spend too much time on this site(which i do...but heck i finally belong!!
)so its hard to relate to him on the subject.he thinks i should just forget about it.sometimes i think i might be better off with someone who has more or less been where i have.

New Tract-Youths What Will You Do With Your Life
by Scarlet ini was wondering if any of you have read this tract that was given out at the district convention .. i found in this tract they are pushing the fulltime ministry more than ever before.
they in so many words say if you are not a fulltime minister you are not serving god.
it stated that youths today should not strive for academic success.

I found in this tract they are pushing the fulltime ministry more than ever before. They in so many words say if you are not a fulltime minister you are not serving God. It stated that youths today should not strive for academic success. That there is no greater job than being a pioneer. You should not work more than part-time.
One Statement that left me disillusioned was the subheading Qualifying to be a Witness of Jehovah. It states "Dedication involves disowning yourself. You may forsake some personal goals and ambitions and seek first the kingdom of God."
My scanner at home is not working but I will scan in the tract tomorrow when I go to work and post it for everyone.
It just makes me so sad to see how they getting to the young people. I spent the other night crying because my brother who is 18 just informed me he is not going to college because it is not neccessary and will not help him in his life. Then my 15 year old sister who is a honor student and in honors classes told me my mother is removing her from school and putting her in a school where she only has to attend one day a week. I guess she was talking about her dream of being a Zoologist too often for my Mom. It just sadens me to see this happening to my family. After reading this tract I saw where my Mother got her ammunition.

I wear many masks everyday. I wear my work mask, my wife mask, my daughter mask, my sister mask. I am not saying that I try to be a different person but the way you interact with people in everyday life causes you to change pieces of your personality.

Yoga Anyone?

in the august 1, 2002 watchtower.. i know that growing up a witness i had always been told that yoga was related to spiritism and the occult.
however, with the popularity of yoga among the mainstream in recent years as a means to keep fit not as a means to find spiritual enlightment, i thought the society may have lightened up a bit.

I absolutely love my yoga class. Me and my sister go every Tuesday. It not only clears your mind but gives you a great workout. You can burn up to 600 calories per session.

Thank you for your post. I know I did not know what I was getting into when I got baptized at 13 I only did it because everyone in my family and in the congergation keep pressuring me too. By the time I was 18 I didn't want anything to do with it and it took me til I was 22 to leave.

well then she says that she is considering having an abortion...which i am totally against....so we discussed it...then she started to think that she might have the child....so she talked it over with her twin sister...and she told her to get the abortion...now she says she wants the abortion...now i am upset...not onlly does she want the abortion...but she wants me to pay for the entire thing...so not only am i going to be terminating a developing life...but i have to pay for it????

You too are a group of cells, how about if your mother terminated your life, wouldn't that have been unfair?

I am very sorry for the situation you are in. I do not feel you have to pay for the abortion since you oppose it and you need to make your stand. I think your relationship probably won't be the same after this.
Just a note to all you women out there having sex remember getting pregnant leaves you the most reponsible for the child. If you do not want to get pregnant take control of the situation and get on BIRTH CONTROL. Planned Parenthood has many clinics around the nation where you can get free or low cost birth control. Also remember to use condoms to prevent diseases and pregnancy but at least if you forget the condom you have the back up of birth control for preventing pregnancy.

Tell me what you did on the doors?
by ballistic inme and my pioneer partner used to play a game while going door to door (we were obviously bored).
in our rural territory, we had a lot of time between doors to make things up, so various games evolved.
just about the naughtiest was to give your partner a word which they had to use at all costs in their presentation.. this started out as 'kingdom' and 'jesus' but soon became 'tractor', 'dog' and then even 'honda 250' and so on.

I was so shy I hated talking at the doors. I usually would work with my mom or a outgoing friend of mine that I knew would take most of the doors. I found it really hard to even get a word out when people would come to the door and I would stumble all over myself. I ended up just being embarassed.
