My grandparents got involved in 1910, and I asked the same question about why they stayed with Rutherford. Then I discovered that A. H. MacMillan was a close family friend. In the case of my family, being a close associate with one of Rutherfords henchmen is the connection had everything to do with why they followed him.

Bible Students/Jehovah's Witnesses
by StAnn ini hope i'm coherent here as i have a question.
from what i read somewhere in the numerous ex-jw publications, the majority of the bible students who followed c. t. russell were appalled by the changes that rutherford forcefully imposed and they refused to follow rutherford.
because rutherford was president of the corporation, the bible students could not keep the names of the watchtower and the ibs but left the organization under rutherford and have continued to this day, following russell's teachings, and still calling themselves the bible students.

My computer crashed that held my music files. I had backed them all up but did not use ITunes to do it, I just copied them to a portable drive. Now I want to restore them. I discovered how to download them in iTunes by adding a folder, but my question is this. Each of the individual artist's albums is in a folder named after the album, and each of these album folders is in a folder named after the artist, and all all the artist folders are in another folder entitled iTunes music. Is it possible to add the folder entitled iTunes music which contains all the subfolders or do I have to add each individual album folder one at a time?
I just can't figure it out from what I've read. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Evidently . . .
by Mad Sweeney inthis has been a wt buzzword for a long time but has come up in several recent discussions here.
so, i just had to look it up on the wt library cd-rom.. the word "evidently" appears 1,439 times in the insight books alone.
that number is staggering considering that the two-volume set is supposed to be comprised of encyclopedic facts.

Their use of that word is something I discovered early on in my awakening. It would be interesting to see how many times that word is used in other books that have references cited, like maybe CofC.

Yes, that does need to be told, in pictures.
I can't get Knorr's documents to enlarge so they can be read.

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
by thetrueone intop ten signs you're a fundamentalist christian.
1 - you vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.. .
2 - you feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the biblical claim that we were created from dirt.. .
