I think this can have a negative affect on the attitude of the attenders. Since I quit going 15 years ago, my wife does not go to the one she's assigned to, but goes to one where she can see old friends. It's just a social club after all. If they make it smaller and they just get to see the same old ones all the time much of the excitement is going to wear off. Imagine if they did it linked to KH's in areas where the AH is smaller as someone mentioned, how boring.

Expanding number of DC/RC's
by DwainBowman inaccording to my elder in law, by next year the number of dc/rc's will increase by 143. the size of conventions will get smaller.
the elder in law says the goal is to make them all have around 2,000 or so at each.
they are going to make more manuals detailing each job and it's responsibilities.

Thanks DJS and OC for the info. Not surprising to me at all.
I do wonder though when the statement is made that a person is not religious but spiritual, what exactly does spiritual mean? It seems to me to be a word thrown out there much like the JW's toss around 'spirituality'.

Some have a need to believe in god and others don't. Some will take the above video as absolute proof, others won't. After reading this, I don't believe any of it.

Believer, thanks for responding to my request. Seems to me that by your comments, you didn't get the point of the video. When you talk about god it seems you are still speaking about the bible god as if that's the only one that exists.

Introduction - Any Believers?
by Believer ini’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

The Dear Believer I shared early on has again been ignored by believers. I think it really lays out the problem. I'm sure all believers on here believe in the Bible God. I just wonder how many of you have taken time to check out where that god came from.
Myself, I'm not going to say there wasn't someone or something that started it, but I will say this. I am absolutely sure it was not the Bible god.

Thanks for that GrreatTeacher! I agree with everything you said.
Believer, can you give me a search phrase to all those books you speak of? I haven't been able to find anything but things I would consider biased.

Believer, you said: The saddest thing to me about atheism is the way the proponents resign themselves to the same destiny as the unreasoning animals. They don’t seem to understand that man is different for a reason. We start as animals, but that is only the beginning of the journey of life. They are choosing to get off the ride before they even get to the first turn.
I disagree, man is not different. Humans may be advanced, but in the end they all die just like the animals. Any belief beyond that has never been proved and IMO is just a fantasy. I realize some need that to get through life, but many of us don't. I suggest you have the "god gene". You have that need and will do anything to fulfill it.

Believer, I want to respond to my question about being a convert or a born in. A majority of born in's when they figure out the"truth about the truth", are very skeptical and atheism is what results. Converts on the other hand revert back to their previous belief system.
