This was one of the very last #2 talks that I gave. I really never paid much attention to this account before my #2 assignment. When I was preparing for it and had to think a little deeper, it disturbed me to my core that god would kill innocent for David's err when he was given other choices.
I wanted to cancel the talk, but I didn't. I simply read the account from the bible with NO introduction or concluding comments, then walked off the stage.
I didn't realize it at the time, but that was the beginning of my eyes being opened.
Now I know its all BS and it was common for bronze age kings to blame god for everything that happened.
