  It was witten by a former member of the Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses. If you really want to know how things are run, best to get it from the top.

  It is also a well written book without some of the emotional bias and slant that you may get from other Xjw books.

  Looking for sources as to number who left JWs from 1975 to 1980

  i'm looking for sources as to the number of jws who left the organization from 1975 to 1980. i realize that the information can be extrapolated from the published statistics but i'd particularly like to find a citable source that gives the information, especially from the news media.

  any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Even with the mass of members who defected between 1975-1980.

  Did they still not come out ahead in the long run from the growth in number running up to 1975?

  If I remember correct, they still netted gains from the false prophesy in the long run.

  the same few people who contributed a significant ($100-200 per month) amount.

  Did they always write checks so the elders knew who the big givers were? So much for giving gifts in secret. I always donated in cash no matter if big or small.
  

  
  
  
  
  

  
  So that would explain why they have not come around asking me to return to the hall.

  My last 6 months I did not even contribute for the literature that I took.

  And no, I'm da'd so don't attend the kh. I stopped contributing a few months before I left.

  If you read the question, it was to those who still attend but know it's not the truth. Thanks for the response though.

  where are you going with this, I wonder?

  no where really. I don't evern care about the amount other than curiosity.

  Another thread about asking for $8 per pub for COs made me wonder if people still can give once they know what a sham the org is.

  Also seeing brothers trying to impress the Circuit Overseer during his visit.....it was hypocritical......did u get that too?

  Oh yes! This was always the one week that I would never go out in field service. All records would be broken from everyone going out that week to suck up to the CO.

  When I still attended, I stopped donating to the WWW and only gave to the local congregation funds. Then I stopped giving to the WT and started donating to other charities like the red cross, local food bank and habitat for humanity.

  They are both beautiful people.

  I don't know them so could not say from personal experience.

  However after hearing the story of Kevin James experience where Prince talked him into flying out on his own dime to shoot a documentery of himself for free and never even thanked him after several days of shooting.

  He sounds like a real prince all right.
