I prefer to cook fish on Sundays.
Really? What do you cook on Friday, then?
Post your answers here!
i don't do poetry, just prose.. my world is a bubble; a glass sphere.
the people around me, walking, talking, laughing, weeping i can clearly see.
but i can't connect; they are not in my world, and i am outside theirs.
Maybe you're autistic. Asperger's syndrome perhaps.
Bang on the money! I was diagnosed recently. As was my teenaged son. Fortunately for him, there's a lot that can be done for him at school and community level to help him learn coping strategies. As for us adults, I'm told there's not known about the syndrome in us.
I was thinking the same thing. I have AS and can relate to part of what you wrote.
You do? Wow! That explains your "smarts". I'm glad you use yours for good, rather than evil (like Star Trek conventions ).

There was a chain called Arthur Treacher's that sold fish and chips. I don't know if they are still around.
http://www.arthurtreachers.com/
Not only are they still around, but they're offering franchises. Wanna buy one?

3. Does Long John Silvers count? LOL, thats the only thing close to a fish and chips spot in my area. Although a local restaurant makes some really good catfish, I've been told
Arthur Treacher has already been mentioned. Don't forget H Salt, Esq.:

My world is a bubble; a glass sphere. The people around me, walking, talking, laughing, weeping I can clearly see. But I can't connect; they are not in my world, and I am outside theirs. Even facial expressions, so easy to read and comprehend for others, are so distorted by the glass that I can't make them out. Emotional depth is beyond me; it washes over the sphere and passes me, without ever touching me.
Perhaps I'm an arsehole. Or perhaps I'm just me, living as I always have in the world I've always known.
i like to write poetry, mostly mushy girly stuff,.
to a dieing god.
i look at you now, my eyes brimming with glee,.
Nice Poem. Deep and heartfelt.
It's nice to be able to move on, whatever others may think of you.
i was curious if there are any hobby blacksmiths or machinists on jwd?
for me it's a hobby and part time business and would like to find out if anyone enjoys it as much as i do.
i built a crucible. it's pretty cool. works really well. you can take scrap and melt them down to pour into molds. you can find out how to make them on the net. mine is propane.
I've been looking at such things on the net for some time now. The ability to melt down one's own scrap into reusable form is a distinct advantage. I'd probably experiment with those designs that use discarded cooking oil - cheaper than propane, and adundant at this house!
