  True, and I don't believe in censorship - frank discussion is always to be welcomed. There are also better ways of effecting change than sitting on the sidelines calling all Australians Nazis. aus.politics is a better forum. Writing letters to the editors of the various Australian dailies would be more effectual. I don't know what we as individuals are expected to do, other than sit here and take our medicine. I could go and see my local M.P (if I could get past his minders) but 1. he's a member of the opposition and 2. he's a total prat who's never done Sweet FA for me and my family when we've asked for help!

  IOW the Swedish govt is deeming that the minimum amount payable to Bethel workers attracts that amount of tax, whether the Tower actually want to pay their workers a fair wage or not. But the Tower cries "Unfair!" to a govt that declares that their wage is approximately a twentieth to a thirtieth of what it should be! Bastards!

  You missed the bit about East Timor, Kent - I noticed no great Norwegian contingent in the peace keeping forces.

  Truly, instead of insulting the few Aussies who post here because they are here to talk about JW issues, why don't you go to aus.politics, a forum where such things ARE discussed, and crack a few heads. That forum is monitored by important people who can DO things, not powerless innocents like us who can only sit here feeling insulted while you compare us to Nazis. BTW, you lost AGAIN! LOL

  Kent, you've weighed in at the tail end of this thing. We've been taking a steady stream of such refugees for many years now, and no Norwegian has patted us on the back. Now that one of your ships is involved you've suddenly noticed us and decide to scream blue murder. Is that entirely fair? Have you noticed that East Timor has achieved independence and is now able to hold a democratic election largely due to Australia's involvement? We have our humanitarian impulses too. You keep spitting and hissing names like "Nazi" and "Hitler". Wipe the foam off your chin and admit defeat: according to Godwin's Law YOU'VE LOST!

  Oh, and if you want to discuss this in the correct forum (this one is about JWs, I believe), get over to the aus.politics newsgroup - this issue has been running hot for several days with the odd Norwegian weighing in. You should enjoy the testosterone laden posturing going on over there!

  Any one read David Rohl's books?

  these are two fascinating books on the historisy of the ealier bible accounts.. .

  if you doubt that the books of "moses" were based on real history these books are worth a read.. anyone else read them and what did you think?.

  i what to do more research on ancient bible history and how these stories relate to real history.. i find it amazing how many ancient accounts of early humans mentions gods coming to the earth and breeding with humans.. they usually contain a flood account too.. these stories come from all over the earth from south america , eygpt and asia as well as the middle east.. is there any truth in these stories .. any books you could recomend.
