Don't be an asshole! If Fipro Carr abused his wife then he should be removed from his congregation.
If it is the right thing before Jehovah to do this, Fred, then why do you condemn Bill Bowen, who is trying to get precisely this happening ,along with the removal of paedophiles from the congregation?

Ahhhh! Thanks Mommy D - from reading DeBuhn's praise-filled piece on the NWT, I realised he must have an agenda. Even if he were not a Dub, he could still be a liberal theologian trying to weaken the traditional Christian interpretation of the Bible - by lauding a Bible translation roundly condemned by the mainstream, he could be tryiing to simply make the mainstream look bad. Your take on it adds a little more to the mix.

by ring infirst off, i am not a jw anymore,was one for over 20 years.haven't set foot in the kingdom hall for 9 years.
my question is"why not be truthful about what this site is?
"this site is set up to look at first appearence as a legitimit witness site.why the "front"?if users here are proud of their x-jw status,or are proud of the fact they have left the wbts organization,why isn't this site named x-jehovah witness.com ?

underneath "made in China"You're still saying it's deception. The board is for JWs and others; the loyal Dubs keep away due to it being "bad association" - that doesn't mean they aren't welcome or can't post here. In fact, the whole board IS for them; they just choose not to exercise that privilege. JazzyVee and any other cyberspace elders are more than welcome!

I love the assertion that joining the Krishna boys is more appealing than joining the Dubs! To join them you've got to become a vegetarian, get into all sorts of physical denial crap (head shaving, wearing stupid clothes, getting up at ungodly hours), indulge in sex for reproduction only (not for pleasure!). What a fun group; just what every ex-Dub will be queueing up for, eh?

Yes, that last bit gives a less than accurate depiction of what this board is about. A bit like McDonald's referring to their "11 herbs and spices" (to use an earlier analogy), I'll give you that!

Nice conspiracy theory, Ring, but it ain't so. This forum since inception has been for "Jehovah's Witnesses and other interested ones". Is it our fault that the loyal Dubs shun the "other interested ones" so that the latter group makes up the lion's share of this board's population?

I already use that example, Barry! I once mentioned to a Dub at the door that my favourite hymn from "Christendom" was "Guide Me, Oh Thou Great Jehovah". Her comeback? "Our songs don't use that old-fashioned, hard to understand language"! I thought: "What, you don't understand 'thou'?????"
