Good grief, Charlie Brown! Of course, this counselling over crafts would be consistent with the overall Watchtower ideal of keeping women totally in their place; crafts (such as quilting, sewing, knitting, folk art, etc.) after all are generally seen as women's hobbies, and hobbies are frowned upon within the org as a waste of time, or so I understand. Do men ever get counselled over their leisure time pursuits? There are "blokey" hobbies like wood and metal work and restoring old cars - would such a hobby draw the attention of the "glorious ones" or are they only interested in women who spend their valuable field service time doing something NOT specifically for the Borg?

Ever been counciled for doing a craft??
by lydia incoming from central pa - i get to see lots of quilts - and i have started to quilt myself - although i recieved lots of council about spending the long hours alone on a quilt ( the brother apparently never heard the words "quilting bee" ) i finally quit doing them for a while because of the pressure i was getting..... finnally when i realized that i needed to do some form of craft as a stress reducer ( from all the pressure from the borg) i told the elders where to go - and also said " i'd be happy to quit quilting - are you going to pay for the pyschiatri help and the meds they may prescribe??
this is therapy for me!!".
it shut him up for a bit.. .

Naturally occuring nuclear reaction
by Simon ini know we are surrounded by them (ie.
stars) but i was listening to the radio yesterday and was amazed to hear that there was evidence that a nuclear reaction had occured naturally on earth at some point.. apparently, all the conditions that are neccessary were there - water to slow the neutrons down, a deposit of uranium for fuel and carbon to prevent a 'meltdown' happening.. they said it was in south africa somewhere (not sure if the county or the continent).
has anyone else heard of this?

Cat Lovers
by larc incat lovers,.
of all the cats you have owned, which one was your favorite pussy?

My favourite was a big black tom named Fang. A loyal companion and dog-eater, he was the the glue which held my thin thread of sanity together while I lived in my cult-like situation for 6 years. Of course, cultic leadership being what it is, even my cats came under scrutiny...

Hey Unc, you'd be welcome! If you want to come email me and I'll give you all the details. You'd be a valuable addition to the party; we need someone to keep The Incredible Bullshitting Man company!

Excellent Outlaw! If you ever make it over, we'll have to make sure to sink a few coldies! (And you're welcome to stay for a few days, of course!)
