Oh, now I understand your Rodney Dangerfield and Seinfeld references:
That's the one! Rodney nurtured a lot of well known comedic talent to life, both through his club and his telly specials, or so I understand...
rosanne barr is back.
here is the news brief:.
roseanne barr is back with a new tv show after more than a decade away from the spotlight.

i had 15 to reset to daylight saving time last night.
there was the cook stove, coffee maker, mivrowave, tvs, alarm clocks, electric clocks, wind up clocks, car clocks, wrist watch.
the dvd player and computers did it automatically.
NONE - Another good thing about living in Arizona : )
Does the same thing happen in Arizona on New Year's Eve that happens in Queensland (another State that doesn't observe daylight saving)? That people in border towns celebrate the New Year in one state, then within the next hour drive to a town inside the border to celebrate it again, an hour later?

Oops! I guess I don't remember the Rodney Dangerfield/Roseanne connection. I thought it was out of character for you to say something derogatory about anyone, Steph.
I must admit I was surprised you thought I was. Roseanne may hardly be my favourite actress in the world, but she had a tough life and had to fight hard to make a life for herself and her kids, so she has my admiration for that.
As I understand it, Rodney's shows were her break into TV. It's very hard to do sociological archaeology at this distance...

Aha! I was right! You Yanks did change your clocks!
On Sunday, it was our turn to put the clocks forward for daylight saving. But on Sunday evening, a certain phenomenon I not ce in my web-surfing happened after 8pm, instead of the usual 6pm. Even with daylight saving, it was an hour out. "I wonder if the USA has gone back from daylight saving at the same time we brought it in", I mused. And lo and behold, here's a thread to prove me right.
BTW, alarm clock, microwave, mobile phones - not much here.

There's no way the bogans here would let Australia hurt Tennessee, they make good booze there ,so there would be a sea of Metallica and AC/DC T-shirts attacking our Parliament house!
"No blood for Jack Daniels!"
I took a look at the polls yesterday - this gentleman had taken a bit of a hit recently.
an elder is at my house right now studying with my dad in the next room.
he can probably hear me typing now .
i got two crank calls in a row (the phone is right by the computer on the desk) ...then someone called a third time and i just picked up the phone and slammed it loudly.
They're Eeeevil, I tell you! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil!
How'd it go? Did you survive the Borg mind probe?

Harold Ford doesn't know what he is talking about!
Ya think so? LOL
His assertion is preposterous. Not only is he attacking the USA's most loyal ally, he's talking crap. Our nuclear capacity consists of a small scientific research reactor at Lucas Heights, which we're finally getting around to upgrading after 50 years.
Our resources can more than match our energy needs; we've plenty of coal and natural gas. But in this day and age, when carbon has become evil, there are only two reliable forms of non-carbon producing energy production: hydro and nuclear. Hydro's not a possibility, but we've got uranium coming out our ears, so the latter is the obvous way to go. So we're looking at developing nuclear power production in the next 10 years or so. But as for weapons, we're just not the Nuke types. And we're not about to declare nuclear war on Tennessee any time soon!

HAROLD Ford, a handsome 36-year-old from Tennessee, has become one of the sensations of the mid-term elections in the US and a reason why Democrats are a good chance of winning back control of the US Congress for the first time in 12 years.
But if Mr Ford, already a US congressman, wins his bid to become a more powerful senator, Australia had better watch out.
Because according to Mr Ford, Australia has an interest in nuclear weapons and is part of the broader nuclear threat to the US.

i'm not talking about the simple belief that there is no god and that religion is a brake on the development of humanity but the aggressive and vocal campaign to convince others of such?.
what's wrong with that?
why do believers feel so offended when i try to reason with them on the invalidity of their faith and the abusive nature of religious institutions?
Ever heard of "manners"?
Heh, heh! I didn't think of this addition until I was signing off:
"Or don't you believe in those either?"
