In the model prayer, why wasn't God name used ?

when jesus taught his followers how to pray why wasnt the name of god used in the model prayer.

our father in the heavens, let your name be sancitied.

with so many people and religions in the world how many would have known the name of god if it were used in that popular prayer.

perhaps the "father" would be a bit irritated. as most Earthly fathers would be if their kids called them by their first name.....

so the son when asked , out of respect and knowing how many would after him pray didnt want....... ANYONE ..........to get the idea.......to call him by his name

did the son ever say/mention his fathers NAME

Was Our Faith Tested?

i have been having long conversations with my brother in-law who is the only one that will talk to me about the non-truth.. he claims that my attacks on the society in reference to there false prophecy is nothing more then a test on our faith and that the fact that jw's are the only ones that don't teach the immortality of the soul makes them the only true relegion.. how would any of you respond to the the test of our faith response?

Witnesses dont think. Its against their principles.THE WTBTS tells them not to.

Amateur Counselors & Nice "Wicked&quot...

1. are the elders really 'teachers'?

in the public talk they have to follow the outline provided by the wt.

Elders by defintion are there to shepard the flock by means of a system of belief that flies in the face of anyone who has capablity to deal with significant mental problems.

The commitees are seated to JUDGE , not help. If you have a renegade against the bunch with an attempt to do the rigth thing based on his background or person to person skills,, he must have ignored his qualifications to become part of the WTBTS system.

How does one who CONTROLS others lives , qualify in being an objective source of help to those with mental problems.

Does not the office itself, state a lack of objectivity.

I am interested in your comment here.

Sacrifice / Death

Nice opinion JIm.

Prove to me you die. and then prove to me you were alive. That is all physical.

and WE ALL dont sacrifice.........some have other perspecives.and denying death may not be one of them.
