Manchester United Ruined My Life.
by Englishman inwill time spent as a jehovahs witness always have a disabling effect on a persons life, does the very existence of the wtbts cause us to feel wounded?.
is it a good idea to blame the wtbts for the negative impact that it has had on our lives, or will their come a point when the experience ultimately proves to be character-building?.
if the experience does eventually engender a form of emotional intelligence within us, does this mean that we must start to think about actually forgiving all those jw's who handed out to us their own special form of emotional abuse?.

it could, if we allow it to.but then what have we learned form this expereince inour lives.........I trust those who are out and on their way to any form of spiritual insight, find value in the lesson of never allowing this type of clutish mentality to invade their life again.....

it may be agood idea at first to get you to leave........ but to keep that thought or hold onto it forever may do more harm than good. Who actually gains from it....... it was a LESSON... lets learn ..move on and help others if we can......

the forgiveness is important if we are to TRULY move on and get past it..and SEE value in it......forgiving ourselves first might be in order for the mistake WE made...... the choices WE made.....
to those that taught (this wonderful crap).....while having to take responsibility for their own actions....... we would do well to consider them as patients seeking medical treatment..... perhaps they just havent found the right doctor yet...*S*

Short Term Thinking

i know with myself i put off buying or even saving for a house, i put of medical treatment, didnt save for retirement.
i know of kingdom halls that were dangerously built/modified with short-term goals in mind.

they ~think~ so you dont have to............
you give up your self , who you are, the independent thinking you were given the day you were born...and just say
TAKE ME I AM YOURS>>>>>while they wont say "I AM SAVED" they sure act in the way........
an elder once said to me... "well if they told me to get out on my roof @ 2am....I wouldn't listen"......
I have my doubts ......based on other just as ridiculous held/enforce beliefs.....

Question to shunned persons

I see it takes a lot of inner strength to get to the point of letting your FREAK FLAG fly........but the alternative is to DENY yourself who you are.......
not being able to make decisions for other people is a TWO edge sword..........they have TO CHOOSE as well....and THEY have to live ...carrying that around.......if they choose this course......
I remember an elder who was close to my dad.....for many years.....
after my dad did his disappearing act..this elder always asked about my dad......... we were in different congregations..and only saw each other a few times a year........
even if this elder and I dont see eye to eye on every issue under the sun... he showed respect to my dad........... and that will never disappear from my person......for every one of him tho there are 25 on the other side..........its unfortunate the brainsurgery that takes place.... and the artificial hearts that are transplanted......
and we still have a choice......
