  Validity of 607 BCE date

  has anyone on here ever come across the tiniest shred of evidence supporting this date for the fall of jerusalem.

  i understand rolf furuli is about to but something out on this subject (see elihubooks.com), however even a table of contents has been a long time in coming from this site.

  if no evidence exists what can he possibly be writing about?

  Where Do I Go Now?

  with all the problems in the 'truth' and all the things that we know are wrong with it there seems to be aspects of their theology (i.e the sequences of the world powers, statue in daniel, the promise of world restoration again found in daniel) that to me still make sense.

  although i cannot follow a religion that believes in the destruction of all humanity barring those that respond to their own preaching work i still believe in a creator and cannot accept the teachings of other religions that have no purpose for the earth and believe that mankinds only destiny is in heaven.

  my mind keeps telling me that if god was behind a religion it would be so much better than that of the jws.

  Lightning has just struck my brain...
  I dont know why i didnt mention this before indi. But me and you, and most other ppl in our shoes, are going through the same thing. We are looking for an organization to help us understand. Perhaps thats not the case. Perhaps we need to look inside ourselves for our beliefs and be ourselves because of them. Not what some org. tells us to be.

  What is the real meaning of life?

  i mean, if we have been created by the evolution then, our life really have no purpose.

  we live about 80 years and then we die and it's finish.

  it seem really dull to me.

  Most people in my opinion are impatiant though Ranch, including myself. Thats one of the reason being a JW is so hard. Endlessly waiting for the end to come :P. Well, like the rest of the impatiant society, we all want to know what the meaning of existance is right now! hehe cudos to you Ranch for your patients.

  True, on that outlook, that lifelong question does seem dumb. However, thats not the point of the question. The point of the question is why do we live? And if we live for a reason, what is that reason? Its not just simple symantics of what is the meaning of meaning. Good point though proplog2.

  If evolution then has a purpose for life, then at our current state of society, we are in control of that purpose. We are in control of what our environment is becoming and how it changes. If evolution is the adaption to our surroundings over the course of millions of years then we are in fact, in control of what we as a species become. Because we as a species are the most industrious, creative, and controling of all the other species on earth and that in effect changes our environment. So in return evolution dosn't have a purpose for life, we do...

  as i passed through wol site i saw a post on how to handle microphones.

  it was a pointless discussion about using cordless vs cord or a boom.

  in my own personal research in the bible, i have found certain... discrepencies in certain areas... the following are in my opinion, what really happend.... 1. god didnt make woman out of a rib from man.. more than likely, god said "yo adam, man, you look lonely.

  In my own personal research in the bible, I have found certain... discrepencies in certain areas... The following are in my opinion, what REALLY happend...

  1. God didnt make woman out of a rib from man.. More than likely, God said "Yo Adam, man, you look lonely. I tell ya what lets through a BBQ Party. Ill bring da women, you bring da ribs!"

  2. Jesus did not die on a STAKE as so many Dubs believe. In my opinion, this is what likely transpired. After he was done with his whole Eat my flesh Drink my blood stuff, Judas served the main course... In the middle of the meal, Jesus choked on a bone, and keeled over onto his dinner plate which held a ... what? a STEAK!!!

  and thats all i have to say about that!

  WT policy on funerals and memorials?

  can anyone tell me the current policy for funerals and memorial services?.

  mom was here today and evening, stayed for dinner, and we talked about the services for henry.

  she wants there to be a portion of the service where people in attendance can tell things they want to say about him.

  bout 2 years ago i had a good friend who died at 15, he was givin a witness funeral but half his family was "worldly". I dont remember there being a eulogy per se' but there were multiple brothers who got up to speak about him, including his dad and step-dad (Who isnt a dub) if I remember it correctly (Was a rough day for me). Then there was singing and such by some sisters of his favorite kindom song.
