My Personal Beliefs
by UnDisfellowshipped ini just thought i would post a thread and let everyone know what my own personal beliefs are.. you can post any comments you want to.. also, you can post your own personal beliefs if you would like to.. here are my beliefs (based on what i have read in the bible):.
i believe in god almighty, my creator (the father, jesus christ, and the holy spirit -- all 3 are separate persons in unity as one god -- all 3 are co-equal, co-eternal, co-omnipotent, co-omniscient).. i believe that jesus christ, the eternal son of god, came to earth and was born as a human (while keeping his full deity), gave christians 3 laws to follow (love god, love your neighbor, and treat others how you want to be treated), died for the world's sins, in order that everyone who believes in jesus christ may be saved and receive eternal life with the jesus, and jesus was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven to be with the father.. all of this is by the grace, love, mercy, and justice of god.. that is the gospel of salvation.. i believe that everyone who truly believes in the true jesus christ of the bible, will be saved, and will be taken to heaven when they die to be with the lord jesus christ for eternity.. i believe that when they die, everyone who rejects jesus christ will end up spending eternity separated from jesus christ in hell (whether hell is a fiery place of torment or not, i'm not sure, but i know i don't want to be there no matter what it is).. i believe that jesus christ is the only judge of a person's heart and mind.
humans should not condemn one another, in regards to where they are going to go (heaven or hell).. jesus christ will judge everyone who never got to hear the gospel.. i believe that all children who died before they were old enough to know what is right or wrong, will be saved.. i believe that jesus christ is coming again, whether in our life time or not, i do not know.. i believe that everyone on earth should follow these 3 commandments of christ:.

Well, I'm happy for you. I guess because I can't get over loosing my family, I'm weak. And if you call what I do "tormenting" myself then I will gladly do so. I think that if I ever got complacent about not seeing my family ever again, then something would be wrong with me. But that is merely my opinion.
Besides, it's not "eating me alive". I miss them, and I would do almost anything to get them back.

What's Wrong With Killing Arabs?!
by TTBoy inbefore you go tearing my head off - this thread is for pc gamers.. i just picked up soldier of fortune ii - double helix.
i am sick and tired of games that let us kill germans, south americans, and japanese.
why can't anyone make a damn game where you kill the modern day terrorists?
-
StinkyPantz
I totally agree with you; but I wonder also why in the movie "The Sum of All Fears" which was based on a novel by Tom Clancy about Arab terrorists, they changed the enemies to Russians for the movie. Why didn't they keep the terrorists as Arabs?

You said:
Any ugly things that happened in my life I always wanted to move on and get happy. Here it seems that everyone wants to keep eating away at this stuff and keep each other fueled up over it. Just seems like a waste to me and it is rather ugly you got to admit. If you got out of something you hated so much why keep thriving on it? Why the attitude?
Umm, I'm trying to be nice but it seems that you aren't trying to understand at all!
Look, you say you could get over losing your wife if you had to. Well guess what? Others can not dismiss there families so easily. I have lost my entire family to a misguided loyalty to a "religion". If you cannot understand "my attitude" then you have no heart. I cried when my mother told me that she'd no longer invite me nor my husband over because the JW's tell her not to; and don't assume that my mother is a terrible person. She has been brainwashed into thinking that this is how God wants things. And unfortunately she's not the only one. Almost everyone on this site and thousands around the world have been shunned by their parents and friends.

I can only speak for myself as to why I am angry. I was raised a JW, and was very close to my family. I was baptized at age 12, not totally understanding what I was getting myself in to. As I grew up I started finding flaws in my former believe system. I eventually fell in love with a non JW and moved in with him. I married him 2 months later but it was too late. I was disfellowshipped or excommunicated and now no JW I know (even my own parents) will not talk to me. I am 23 and the JWs and my family are all I know since I was allowed very little contact with others. So being disfellowshipped was devastating.
Wouldn't you be angry if your family stopped talking to you and pretty much everyone else you grew up knowing? I do not believe as they do and for this I will be shunned forever. My children will never know my parents, because I do not believe as JW do.
Doesn't it anger you that your wife believes that you won't recieve God's reward because you aren't a JW? And how could you not know all this, doesn't she tell you? Do you realize that if your children get baptized and then disfellowshipped she won't talk to them? And do you realize that if they need a blood transfusion she'll let them die before letting them have one?
Also, thousands have been disfellowshipped and most of them have extremely shaky if not nonexistent relationships with their families, what do you make of that?
Sorry if I sound angry but it's just not fair.

First of all, I am positive that I know more about the Bible than you. All you do is twist it. My point in quoting several scriptures from the Bible was to point out that even it is very gruesome at times.
it no wonder you dont understand spiritual things. they are concealed from unspiritual people.
You know nothing about me, so how can you call me unspiritual? I understand the context of the scriptures I quoted, I was merely showing that "God" uses some disgusting stuff to prove a point.
you dont know what the bible means because you lack the necessary prerequisites fer understanding it.
You are assuming a whole lot considering you don't know me. What are these so called prerequisites that I don't have? I understand the Bible just fine. You on the other hand have some problems with it, and I can give you examples of your lack of understanding.
what did you want? the bible writer to leave out important details. simply explaining what happened in detail in a war, aint really glorifying violence.
No, I couldn't care less! I was merely pointing out that the Bible was just as shocking as any movie.
do you think that the iliad glorify violence? if you do, you mistaken. today movies show violence gratutiously. even worldly critics and psychologists know this.
The Illiad has elements of violence just as the Bible does. And I never denied that movies do to. But don't you think it's a bit odd that God expected girls that were raped to marry their rapist? You don't see that in movies, but you find it in the Bible. What about men selling their brother into slavery? Or two sisters seducing their father to get pregnant? Why are these okay to read about, but someone getting killed on a movie screen is so horrible? -

"the difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'.

"A fanatic is a man who consciously over compensates a secret doubt."
(Aldous Huxley)
This totally fit me as I was falling away from "the org.". I was trying so hard to assure myself and defend the religion, that I didn't sense what I was really feeling: doubt. Sad, but true.
