Can a person believe that the Bible contradicts itself and be a Christian?

i am having some conflicting feelings lately that i need some advice on.

i am starting to believe that the bible contradicts itself but at the same time i love jehovah and jesus and have hope for some form of eternal life.

that will never change but i have never believed in the bible 100% coming from god.

i remember one family that we were friends with and i always wondered what happened to them..anyone ever meet the delgados from terrell, texas?

they went on i know to be missionaries in south america i think, and i'm sure they spent some time at bethel.

anyone that remembers or knows what heppened to them info would be most appreciated.. .

i've been reading christopher hitchen's love poverty, and war.

it's a pretty good book that puts a lot of things in perspective regarding iraq, iran, pakistan...there's even a section on mother teresa.

this section...was probably the most interesting part of the whole book i have read so far.

do you remember all the hype about the "paradise" and then the natural questions that followed that no one has answers to... like,.

"will we have cars in the new system?

" - uh, well jehovah will provide us with whatever we need.

Obligations to Friends

to restate: when is comes to being friends with someone, are you "obligated" to do certain things?

You are very wise..

If it's being taken advantage of, or if it's lopsided for as long as the relationship has lasted - then that's not really a friendship....that's an unbalanced/unhealthy relationship. For which one could only dive into themselves to figure out why they are participating in it.

I have had so many lopsided friendships lately that I am very timid about pursuing any more or even maintaining the ones I have. That sounds awful I know, but I have some responsibility in safeguarding my heart, do I not?
