i basically told them how unfair i found their treatment of my to be and their treatment of my husband.

They pretty much never talk to me and it hurts a lot. I also informed them that if they didn't accept me then they would never know their grandchildren either. (I don't have kids yet but one day I will.)
Was I too harsh?

if you believe in god, then i'll make the assumption that you think god is a force of "good", and his commandments reflect this "goodness.
based on that assumption, would you say that god's commandments are good because: god commanding them makes them good?
orgod has knowledge of the inherent goodness of certain commandments, and selects them because of this goodness?.
By your question it seems that you are assuming that if we believe in God, we believe in the God of the Bible. I'm not so sure I do, there are too many inconsistencies in the Bible to wholeheartedly believe in THAT God.
But I do believe in a Creator and that he or they gave us some of their attributes and moral codes (good and bad).

as i was exercising this morning i was thinking about my decision to step down as a ministerial servant and also to stop attending religious functions of any kind.
i've often felt that jws were somewhat flawed in their interpertation of the scriptures, but this morning it kind of hit me all at once that no 2 religions are going to have the exact same beliefs even though both religions might be using the same translation of the bible.
this disturbing fact raises quite a few thought provoking questions:.

I don't think you read the question properly. He said why aren't miracle performed "the way it was in bible times?" I think it was quite obvious he meant miracle like raising the dead with a mere touch or turning water to wine by wishing it to be so, or healing someone instantly without medicine, or making the sun stand still, etc. Why aren't these things happening when "our period is one that has the greatest need of any other period in human history?"
He also asked the question,"If angels were persuaded to leave heaven and join in with Satan, why would God banish Satan and all his demons to the Earth where imperfect humans dwelled? If angels who lived in the very presence of God fell prey to Satan what hope is there for humans?" You said that we'll be resurrected. Well apparently those of us that were formerly JW's and have falling astray because of Satan's wiles won't have a chance (according to JW's). But of course we wouldn't. If angels couldn't resist Satan then how can humans. . . doesn't seem fair. BTW John Wayne is not resurrected via TV, he is not alive, therefore it's only his image like a picture.

You make all these claims as to why you're REALLY here, but it's obvious that you long for attention. It amazes me that everytime you start a post about 100 people respond. I bet you just LOVE that, huh? We are people that are trying to get on with our lives and have a support system and for some reason you won't let us be. The only time I ever sense negativity is when you insult me by generalizing the entire board.
I don't think it's fair to ask you to leave but nothing you do here is constructive. YOU are my primary source of negativity. . . .

What if a spouse messes up? They do some inappropriate stuff with a friend. No sex, but the other spouse is hurt nonetheless. Should they be "allowed" to have friends of the opposite sex again?
