As far as what I think, I do lean towards evolution, but I think that possibly God did start it all. It makes more sense than that there was the proverbial "big bang". But then I wonder, where did God come from?
since i have stopped attending the meetings, i have had a loss of faith in god.
i consider myself an agnostic teetering on being a full blown atheist.
while in school this last semester i have been taking courses that emphasize evolution.

Umm, thanks
Are you so impatient you are willing to take the chance and make ANOTHER stupid decision that will adversely affect your life
And what stupid decision is that? To believe or not to believe? Because as far as I know you shouldn't believe just because you want to. That's exactly why I asked the question, because I haven't made a desicion. Yes, I lean towards evolutions, but not 100%
Your choice. Your life. I don't give a shitNice. . . .

more than any time in history respect and the awe of god has seriously eroded .
man has taken creation for granted and have allowed themselves to believe that no intelligence was required in the making of the universe.
random impersonal forces they delude themselves could have caused all we see in the universe.
But seriously... Of course there are gaps in the fossil records as to the exact transition from amoeba to human. Why? Well, though evolution has been a concept for a hundred or so years, fossil excavation takes a long time. We'd have to dig extremely far to get certain fossils, and we'd have to dig really far all over the world. This times a lot of time and tons of money.

who do you believe jesus christ is?.
i will post my beliefs on this thread soon.. this is probably the most important question there is to ask anyone.. mark 8:27: and jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of caesarea philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, who do men say that i am?
Jesus was possibly a very charismatic, influential man who wanted to help his people.
Welcome!!

Thank you for your response. The things you say are the reason why I can't shake this whole God concept. I've never really heard a good explanation as to why we see things as beautiful or why certain things are tasty! I thought that maybe over time, happiness has helped us adapt so maybe we evolved into thinking that certain things give us joy and maybe we live longer because of it. But like I said, I don't know either way. But I'd like to say thank you for your kind, nonjudgemental thoughts. Oh, what do you mean by this:
I get the feeling something else's wrong, and this topic's a symptom, not the cause, of it.
I miss my parents. . . they shun me and I'm having a hard time with it. Maybe I need there to be a God for that reason.

I'm not pissed. I sometimes sound really mean when I write. If you knew me in person you'd love me.
I am so happy that you are convinced of your faith, I'm not convinced either way!
the paragraph in italics made me sick.
