hall crash

i live in the des moines iowa area , i would be interested in doing a kingdom hall crash after watching some on youtube, i would love to do that with a group of people.

i haven't meet any other ex jw around here.

i was never baptized, i always knew i could never live up to jehovah's standard so i never did even consider baptizing.

I’ve watched a lot of ball and cart crashes, and I do agree with some on here that to the JW, the person usually just looks crazy to them and it will make them feel so much more superior and assure them more they are “in the truth”. But I do think they can be affective. You just need to do it the right way. Make your message brief, and effective, because the elders will take you down as quick as possible. Do not be angry or lose control. Most wil not wake up, but there might be one person who gets the seeds planted. Or there might be a visiting person who will be affected by it. I really applaud the people who do it the right way, it takes A lot of courage. I wish someone would do it where I live, I gotta admit just because I would love the entertainment aspect of it lol, freshen up the boring meeting.

I agree that abortion is morally wrong when it has become a fetus with hands and feet. But you need to do research and educate yourself on why abortions are necessary sometimes and women should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy they do not want to have. Alot of people do care about children, but there are some situations and circumstances where it just would not be fair and loving to bring a child into it. And yes, people should properly protect themselves, and make wiser decisions with who they have sex with. But it’s still their bodies, and people should stay out of the decisions they make with it.

on thing that really makes me angry and disgusted is when i think of the way in the past that the elders pressured me over and over again to have a meeting with them over a petty make out and petting incident.

they asked such instrusive, personal questions like, “did he touch your breast, for how long?

under or over your clothes?” i know that this happens to thousands of people, especially young women, and it’s just not right, it makes me so angry that i almost feel tempted to confront the elder who especially did this, when i see him at the convention in a few weeks and tell him what a sick person he is and how much trauma he caused me, manipulating me and pressuring me to answer such instrusive questions while he sat there and took notes!!

I feel like pressuring people to tell intimate details of their sex life should constitute as sexual harassment.

I Just woke up a few months ago, and I think I’m going through the angry stage. It pisses me off so much how much power and influence they have over people, and what a traumatic experience judicial committees are. If there is a hell, I hope there’s a special spot for the GB and all the other pompous evil men who follow them!!

Suggestions for horror/supernatural movies

hey guys, so now that i’m pretty much atheist and i’m not scared of demons or supernatural things, or bring them into my house by watching movies or reading books about them lol, i defenitly want to watch a few scary movies.

i’ve always loved scary movies, but as witness, you don’t get to watch many since they need to be pg-13 and have no spiritism in it lol.

does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you guys. I do love Carrie that’s a great one. And yes jp1692, maybe I just need to build a better tolerance lol. I just meant that I’m not really interested in Saw movies, truth or dare, would you rather, where the whole movie is about people being tormented. I don’t mind if it’s done disturbing stuff, but I’m more interested in like paranormal haunting stuff, I understand all horror has gore though.

Where does your cong. stand on Motorcycles

There was a group of young guys a few hours from where I lived who looooved bikes. They were like a little JW biker gang lol. But a few of them were pretty reckless and loved going way too fast. And very tragically, a young man about 21 lost his life, they said that in the helicopter on the way to the hospital, the last thing he ever said to the paramedics was, no blood. Very sad. But anyways, all his friends immediately sold their motorcycles.

But on a different note, there was this young single brother I knew who had a beautiful mustang, and the elders were constantly passive aggressively nagging at him and hinting their disapproval for his car choice. Maybe they were jealous .

But there’s never any part of your life that gets by without people in the congregation, trying to attempt to regulate and control it.

My failed attempts to help my brainwashed family

first of all i just want to say a quick thank you to all of you who’s been listening to my story and my little rants and dilemmas lol.

this website has helped me so much to not feel alone and to keep me from feeling like i’m going crazy.

Anyways, I’m defenitly going to try much harder from this point on to play the part until I move out after this summer. I’ve tried to bring up a few points of reasoning with my family, but their cognitive dissonance is so strong. I talked to my dad about the child abuse scandal, and I asked him, can you imagine a child confiding in you about being sexually abused, and saying, well sorry, you have no witnesses, nothing we can do for you. And he said well unfortunately that is the case a lot of the time and there is nothing we can do. I told him about the story in Deuteronomy about the girl getting raped and there were no witnesses around to hear her scream for help, and the rapist was still punished. He had no response, but still defended the way we did things and said the Catholics are much worse.

I spoke to my mom about the disfellowshipping arrangement and how our view of repentance and reinstatement was much different than the Bible’s. I asked her if she would completely shun one of her children. And her response was so weird, she said, “Well if one of you leave, we are still going to be JW, go to meetings and out in service, but your not anymore, they would want us to be involved with their life, but we will be too busy being Jehovah’s Witness. WHAT??! Lol, I never heard that one before, but she her logic never makes sense anyways.

And lastly, I spoke to my sister about the 607 issue, and told her that there is a lot of evidence that 607 is not the date Jerusalem was destroyed. I told her if it is not true, that means that 1914 means nothing, and explained to her how that would make a lot of other things fall apart. She said, “Well that’s ok, it would still be the truth.” I reasoned with the also about twisted scriptures or scriptures the WT ignores, she actually got scared and said, “You seem to know your scriptures really good, and your starting to sound like apostate!” Lol wow whoops

I give up, I felt I had a responsibility to help my family the best I could so they wouldn’t have to waste their life anymore, but they will probably never let go, as I s heard before, religion is an affair of the heart. They did ask me if I was reading apostate stuff and I denied and started acting “right”, so they’ve layed off me for now. Anyways, thanks for listening.

it was in some book for young people that i found going through the watchtower library when i was doing research for old publications, i cannot believe this lunacy, i feel so bad for the teenagers at the time who had to try to take this seriously, but they’re not a high control religion or cult though, anyways here is is : .

if you sleep in a room alone and you find that you seem to feel special stress in this direction at night, you may be able to arrange matters to share a room with another member of your family.

also, you may find it helpful to sleep on your side rather than on your back or face down.. 18 another thing that may be helpful is to see to it that your clothing does not unnecessarily cause friction with the sexual organs.
