Do you ever think about what you think about? Or--NOT!
by Terry in1.undeserved kindness (grace).
ask yourself why you don't deserve kindness.. if god says you don't deserve something and he gives it to you anyway...who is the conflicted party here??
who is breaking his own moral code?.

Is God to blame for pedophilia?
by WTDeserter inwith all the waves made my pedophilia in the catholic church and the wts i did a small research to see what is written in the bible about the matter, and was surprised to see pedophilia is not in the thou shalt not list.. there are some verses that indirectly suggest not to do such a thing: and whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
- mark 9:42.. but pedophilia is not clearly condemned!.
the bible clearly condemns (among others) sex between, man - man, woman - woman, man - beast, woman - beast, etc.

Thank you for your comments!
Please do not misunderstand, I had no intention to say pedophiles are not responsible for their actions, the point I wanted to make is that the Bible does not condem it.

With all the waves made my pedophilia in the Catholic Church and the WTS I did a small research to see what is written in the Bible about the matter, and was surprised to see pedophilia is not in the “thou shalt not” list.
There are some verses that indirectly suggest not to do such a thing: “And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.” - Mark 9:42.
But pedophilia is not clearly condemned!
The Bible clearly condemns (among others) sex between, man - man, woman - woman, man - beast, woman - beast, etc. But pedophilia is not in the list, it doesn't say: You should not lay with a child as you would lay with a woman.
And this is true for both the OT and NT.
I have not read the Koran, but with Mohamed having Aisha as his wife at age 9, I would assume the Koran doesn’t condemn pedophilia either. So this would be true of all Abrahamic religions.
Did I miss something, perhaps there is a verse hidden somewhere, or is God to blame for pedophilia for not clearly setting guidelines, commandments on the subject?

God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites - What does the bible REALLY teach?
by irondork inthat is why god gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature;and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
romans 1:26,27.
(excerpts from: homosexianity by r. d. weekly for the sake of familiarity, scripture quotations appearing in the book were replaced with the new world translation) http://www.amazon.com/homosexianity-letting-devastating-scripture-orientation/dp/1442163062/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=utf8&qid=1356175321&sr=1-1&keywords=homosexianity.

"even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another"
The passage in Romans implies that homosexuals used to be heteros, or at least bissexual.
If I look at this subject without fanatism, I have to admit that there are some people, who are simply 'programmed' differently. I mean, I personally never found any man sexually intersting, in fact I have difficulty identifying which man the ladies would find good looking. So I assume that people who are attracted to their own sex must be wired differently. I believe it is not a choice they made, that is how they function. So if that is the case, then why should they suffer etternal judgement as Sodom and Gomorrah did. Simply does not make sense!

i have started my da letter !
by unstopableravens ini have wrote six pages so far it seems the more i write the more i have to say .i have many mixed thoughts its frustrating to have to go this.
i wish i could just fade but that is not possable.
how long were your letters?.
-
WTDeserter
Mine was one sentence long: Undersigned no longer wish to be associated with Jehovah's Witnesses. Sincerely!
Earlier letters I wrote got such ridiculous responses - if any - that I did not see a reason to be lengthier.
Congratulations on your brave move!

Does This Happen to You? I Need Help :/
by DarioKehl inhey guys.... i have a few important questions for everyone.
this applies to doubters, faders, inactive, dfed or seasoned apostates.
first, let me set it up:.
-
WTDeserter
Hi DarioKehl,
I can relate to your feelings :(
Dubs are taught that if you leave, you will become worse than an unbeliever. If your life contradicts this teaching they will either have to admit that what they have been thought is wrong or invent something that makes you look bad to protect their beliefs. When I stared fading a rumors were started, although these were ridiculous they did the job, long before I DA-d myself some would not greet me and were afraid to talk to me.
Dubs are also taught that they should be on guard as it is your goal to damage their faith. I experienced a number of times that former “friends” would approach me and curiously ask questions. I could sense their surprise and confusion, as I did not fit into the role that they were anticipating, but I also found that once they had the information they would withdraw and play the “I’m a good little Dub and do not talk to DA-d people” role. So now if they approach me it is I that does not want to speak to them. I no longer feel compelled to convince former friends and relatives that I am not evil, just trying to live a normal life.
Find people that have common interests, be with people who are fun to be with!

Can we look at FAITH in a more practical way?
by Terry inbelief is spackle.
you can't see the crack in your thinking when you exercise faith.
consequently, a person of faith can not, must not, will not allow others the option of non-binary references.. .

WTDeserter
Hi All, new here, first post.
Appreciate Terry's point in faith meaning different things to different people, not being binary or black and white, at least for those of us who are no longer afraid to think with our own minds.
Here is a good chart on faith that I found some time back in an Atheist Forum it is showing faith (or a lack of it) in graphical terms, here is the link:
http://freethinker.co.uk/2009/09/25/8419/
I would place myself somewhere between Theist and Agnostic (according to the post author's terms) as I believe there is a God but pretty certain that I can not get to know Him closely.
Where would your faith fit in the graph?
