Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS

i thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.

and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.

i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.

The brothers who have it the worse were the Secretaries who did their best trying to track the time down. Those poor brothers had the most thankless job, it's not a enviable position to be in.

Ask BillytheEx , Eric (Ray Publisher), and M?, the position sucked and drained the life force from the Secretary. The elder in Eric's "Texting War" is the only brother I met who loved the job of Secretary. Most others dreaded this position, the phone calls, the CO Hustle of getting the cards ready and up to date before he arrives and blow's a gasket."

Gifts for C.O.'s and D.O.'s

does anyone else find it funny that the circuit overseers and district overseers go to a new congregation every week, have all their bills paid and then for some odd reason the elders always find a way to give them extra money.

on top of that there are atleast 10 families in every hall that give them a green handshake.

then the people who give them expensive gifts (i am ashamed to say i participated in this) like watches etc... yet these guys still act like they are giving up so much.... .

They have all the time in the world once you back out the "Poser Field Service" they do. How many of you went door-to-door with these men who wanted to kick it?

We drove around, I call it "Field Circles" because that's all we did was drive around in Circles around town!

Do you know of any criminals that became JW?

there was a convicted murderer that became jw in my old congregation.

actually he committed manslaughter, he killed another guy in a bar fight.

i think he served 15 years in prison.

i can't name them all who were criminals and became "preceived strong JWs" only to go back to jail again for ripping off the brotherhood of the traveling book-bags.

Were you thinking of JWs who were former criminals and remained a JW longer than Five Years after baptism? Usually some of the nasty backgrounds who remain are elders, it keeps their mind busy.

The worst DO we had was a arrogant little black man. One giant kind brother (who happened to be black) was outraged he got his house ready for this brother to stay for two weeks and the little DO stayed with a very rich brother twenty five miles from the place he was serving. Can you imagine how this brother felt when the DO never showed up and our kind brother had fixed him "one hell of a dinner, ( I know because I was on stand-bye when my dear brother called and said 'hey you hungry, come over because that District Craphead stood me up." we had a good time and this DO did not get a penny from everyone in our Circle. Oh, how mad as Hell we were, standing up a kind brother because the DO wanted to be at a home with a pool, jacuzzi, spa and other ammmenties (full bar.).

We had COs hit us up for things so tactfully by saying "it would be nice to have a new laptop, if any of the friends are inclined to help "wink wink wink". They suck!

there is much frustration from jws who attended other kingdom halls because the jws were not friendly and actually smug!

it does not exist because they do not love each other unless they are authorized to from the wts..

i have some family and friends still in the organization.

i don't actively seek updates - my lovely contacts provide me with them unsolicited.

so far the updates have been reliable and confirmed sooner or later by subsequent developments.

I propose a Merger and Aquistion between the LDS and the WTS Churches.

LDS will provide a good social activity and the JWs will provide the fear of not doing enough in the Field the Mormons can't seem to put into their rank-and-file!

I have attended a Mormon Congregation and everyone came up and said "Hi" or "Hello". This does not happen at the Kingdom Halls anymore on this size of a scale. The Wall-Flowers are too busy holding up the Walls, the Elder-busy-heads are too busy walking around looking busy but actually not getting anything done.

The new or first time attenders are left to walk out and look for a new Church were the people say Hello. So much for all the lies told in the Watchtower telling the reader "You will be greeted and taken care of if you show up to our Meeting, Wrong!"

i can't fathom it.

if i asked anyone in the last couple halls i've been in they wouldn't know.

it would seem to me that news like that would race around a circuit and spread like wildfire over the country.

No, they are looking at the wrong brothers and have no idea who the others are. They are convinced a local brother is the ring leader and really have no idea who they are looking for. It's like they are after a Jason Borne while they play Barney 5 (Andy Griffen Show) and Sheriff Roscue P. Coltran and his little buddy Enos (Dukes of Hazaard).
