There is no note higher than a $1,000,000 note used for banking purposes and our dumbest criminal-missionaries had values of $500,000,000 and $1,000,000,000 face-value notes, the bankers must have laughed their asses off when they saw these!

The Greek Bible speaks of Jesus Christ using the most educated Jew to give a witness to all the Roman Empire. Why did God choose the Apostle Paul? Paul knew the Hebrew Scriptures, was educated in Greek Philosophy and knew the Roman "Law of the land (ever changing laws) and Jewish religion and traditions.
Now what if he sent out one of the Governing Body or all of them to explain their how they started up their new and true religion? Can you imagine the Governing Body before our modern day Cesear? St. Paul was a genious in religion of all the Old Empire, the Governing Body has shown it does not have the backing of Jesus Christ with their constant hen pecking of Scriptures and ever changing dogmas.
Who knew the Bible better, St. Paul or any of the Modern Day Governing Body and who would have gave the most profound witness? St. Paul, in my opinion would do a better job today, I doubt he signed people's little parchments or fragments of the Hebrew Bible.

There is no point of referenece for your question unless you have been in a position of death before your eyes. I have many cousins who were in Vietman, Gulf War 1 and our longest running War yet. My grandmother had 17 kids, so you can understand when the average kid of Grandma had 6 kids, it makes a hell of a family reunion!
One of the born-again cousins was telling me while they were under fire in Afghanistan, two of the unbelievers who thought they were going to die were asking my cousin "Baptist origin" to hold hands and pray with them. These bad-ass men are part of the Special Forces, really it's big talk to say what you would do when there is no credible demise before your eyes like those bold soldiers in Afghanistan. Micheal had no problem praying with these seasoned soldiers asking Jesus to come into their lives. Did he mock them or say "Ah, No Atheist in Foxholes!", absolutely not, he rejoiced and welcomed them to the Family of God and Jesus Christ.
Let's be realistic, most of your hearts would drop into your stomach if you woke up to see the Sun blackened and the Moon absolutely blood red, with a white glowing sky. It would scare me good and I believe, I can't phathom how much it would impact someone who denied Jesus Christ. There will alway's be that well placed twinge of fear the Society nicely put into our hearts that make's up fear we were never good enough to survive unless we were doing back flips in Field Service. The long-timers here on this board know what I am talking about, we lived off fear and you can't undue what the Organization did, it's like Porn, once you see a photo it's their for life. I hope everyone would repent if they saw the Sign of Jesus Christ and repented, only a demon would desire anyone here to die. We are suppose to love our fellow man and woman, not desire their Merry Destruction like many of us were guilty of in Field Service when a householder said "I am a Catholic and I will die a Catholic" only to have us snicker "Yes you will, Yes you will die a Catholic!"
I love you all and do not mean any disrespect to any of you! I think we all would be so scared, even people we assume are so high moral and good, it would be absolute fear inspiring!

by zound ini remember as a kid (in the late 80's early 90's) seeing ray franz picture in some kind of publication and being told by my mother that he was a gb member that became an apostate and wrote a book.. does anyone know what publication this could have been?

Composing my thoughts better to bring out more ideas to this discussion. What if life was easy and we had more answers to all the questions that are nipping at our heels?

Gee, I wonder why this is happening to the "most loving people who would die for you and me!". The possitive conversations I am enjoying with practicing Witnesses has helped me pick away at this nasty boil on their bullocks! I know which Witnesses to talk with and it's easy to use the Bible to demonstrate what true love is versus "conditional or infrequent love and kindness" many receive from their fake friends.
The "Cat is out of the Bag", the majority of people who are half-way awake realize there is something wrong with the Organization. "It's not as loving as it use to be", I love that line to take for a ride down memory line with the person I am having lunch with. We talk about the "Good old times" and than we get to all the crazy prophecy, "New Faithful Slave" and the Firing of the Annointed members from having some type of voice (honestly, they never had a voice, we all knew the WTS writers and GB were in control and no respect was shown to Christ Brothers even with their own theology!) using the July 15th WT. The numbers will continue to drop, the JWs need a good old fashion "Tent Revival" like the Pentacostal Church would send to town every five years to get the blackslidders back in line! Will the WTS send out a special campaign with fliers to each Inactive and Disfellowshiped Witness (Campaign number 665) warning them to come back before it's too late to get into the Ark?

Former Long Time Elder - Judicial Committees
by James Jackson inwhen i first was appointed as an elder, i could not wait to be on a judicial committee.
it semed like most hearings invovled middle age men and women cheating on their mates because either they had married early or felt that were being neglected by their mate.
most times i felt i need to take a long hot shower after a hearing.. the toughest part was seeing these sweet young children grow up in "the truth", and now you are about to judge their future based on their repentance.

The most hateful part of the process I think was the incompetence of the Organization to help the brothers and sisters before they got into spiritual problems. Time was consumed with "busy work", honestly I can say when I wanted to help with calls to upbuild the friends, the other brothers were too tired to make room for Sheep Calls. I was told to stay away from a few sisters that might be straying, I went out in service with the Six Sister Car Mob and we smoothered her with love and one brother (me) and six sisters helped upbuild this sister.
We had eleven elders, three worked out of town five to seven days a week during the great construction boom. How come those elders were not removed, the Circuit Overseer could never answer that question. These three elders would show up and act like they had the Pulse of the Congregation and pretend to give a rat's ass about the Sheep! One of the elders had his daughter do the nasty and get divorced as many times as Liz Taylor and when he was finally removed, his rage knew no boundaries. The other two elders would find time to make sure they were there during the COs visit, funny how they find time to play the game with the CO yet avoid the Flock they promised to oversea.
Adultery, Homosexuality, Bestiality, Incest, theft, shoplifting, stealing, Drunk Driving, Orgies, sex in the back seat in field service. The biggest mess was we had a very holy brother who came down from San Fransisco. He had a woman on every street and a man on every corner it seemed, how were we suppose to handle this idiot who lied about his bi-sexuality and made excuses why three of his return visits were pregant with his child. His wife never was the same when he explained he was not "impotent" but after nine months of marriage "he told her she made him sick and it was her fault he had been cheating on her for the last five years (She knew him for a year, a fast courtship because good men are hard to find in the Organization!), how do you reason with that promising upcoming rising star elder? The Society had great hopes for him and now he is down in Santa Monica or Venice Beach, last I heard he was going in for the opperation! I kid you not!
It's all horse crap to make people with no marriage counseling experience, no experience helping depressed and suicidal tendancy sheep to put faith in us. Nobody had what it takes to help the really messed up people yet the Watchtower was cut and dry on what needed to be done. I don't care what the Organization or the Traveling Overseers say, when we dealt with gray-areas, a backlash would eventually come back to hammer those on the committee. They can keep that job that gave me ulcers and emotional distress, the friends were great but I regret following those stupid men who made everything out to be a black-and-white Bible based DF or PR. It makes me sick talking about this, enough of it!

Meg Whitman created jobs for her illegal immigrant (undocumented workers) workers and out of the kindness of her heart, before running for office, she paid them their back-pay and wages owed! Often many of the Republican candidates have a change of heart before deciding to run for office and pay their undocumented workers the Federal Minimum wage.
The Rich are so kind, they create many jobs for anyone willing to work below the Federal and State minimum wages!
