The Stone the Builders Rejected
by sabastious inin the first post in this series i discussed the identity of the watchtower as per revelation 13. the second post dealt with the identity of the harlot and the scarlet beast.
this post will deal with the third element "the image of the beast", lets read revelation 13:15-17:.
the second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Twins chose death over blindness
by Monsieur inread a story last night,.
of 45 year old twins that are already deaf and were now going blind.
the realization that they could not communicate with each other and their parents in a short time lead them to chose euthanization over the alternative.

There's millions of ways of being dead, but only one way to be alive.
Put yourself in their position. A life can become not worth living.

let's play Dear God
by Tater-T indear god, if you are a god as your followers claim you to be, why do you have to operate in the constraints of spacetime?
dear god, why did you have to sacrifice yourself to yourself to save your creation that you made with flaws?.
dear god, why do you not do anything about your old men in robes raping little boys?

Dear god, why did you create cancer? Is the agony of a cancerous death a kick for you?
Dear god, why did you create parasitic stomach worms? Do you like watching humans and other animals being slowly eaten alive?
Dear god, why did you do malaria? And you went to so much trouble to do it as well! Multi-stage life cycle requiring a number of different host species! That's a lot of effort just so you could enjoy the spectacle of watching millions of humans die agonising deaths.

>> cofty, just as I don't expect to persuade you that Adam and Eve did exist, you can't persuade me of the inexistence of God, for it is impossible to prove the inexistance of something unless you first define such something. By "defining" it, you are already constructing its existence, even if by intelectual conjecture alone. So it's circular reasoning.
That is pure semantics. Do you believe in the inexistance of fairies or dragons or unicorns? Just because some people hold an intelectual concept of something, that does mean that it then somehow exists outside their minds. By your reasoning anything that humans can imagine then literally exists. That is absurd.
If you want to believe that the Jewish creation myth is literally true, that's fine. But do not be so intellectually dishonest as to ignore the manifold strands of scientific endeavour that have produced hard tangible evidence that reveal it to nothing more than just one among many such mythical cultural constructs that seek to explain the human condition. -

What argument is there for a single God?
by Qcmbr inmormon culture is replete with the concept of multiple gods and requires it to work.
other than a few biblical references does anyone have any compelling arguments for why any god, deist , creationist or full on personal god would - of necessity- be alone.
the argument seems somewhat weaker if the gender is applied as well.

There is absolutely no evidence for any god. Not one shred. Only what some people think, feel or believe.
There is however, abundant cosmological evidence that explains the creation of the universe. Just as there is abundant evidence that shows the biological evolution of life on Earth.

The white man is in control. Obey us you lesser races, for we are your superiors.
And what are all those angels doing? With annual growth stalling at less than 1% - not much! They are just hovering around in formation.
And what's Jesus cooking in the microwave? Oh no! He's left the aluminium foil on! Silly Jesus.
But the most disturbing thing is hierarchical aspect. Know your place lowly publisher. Do what we say - for it is us, the gb, who talk to god and he to us and only us. Was there ever a more convincing piece of evidence for the watchtower being a cult?
Actually the most disturbing thing is that all those lowly publishers at the very bottom of the pile will simply accept this garbage without a moment's reflection.
