i missed the test FF posted............wonder if it's like the one i took a number of years ago........i came up on that one INFP..........I don't mind being home by myself most of the time, I work in a busy office all day, answering phones and dealing with people in and out and on the weekends, it is heavenly to just stay at home and watch a movie or tv or fool around on the computer............i was a loner as a kid too, preferring to walk in the woods alone or horseback..........before the jw's got ahold of me..........i think that 25 years of being guilted into going to meetings five days a week and out in service and to all those assemblies and being surrounded by people people people all the time kind of burned me out..............

pretty much everything DJK said, we have, probably cuz we're from the same neck of woods.........although, one night, when i was walking from my car to the house i looked up just in time to see the pale belly of a flying squirrel as it coasted from one patch of trees to the other..........we HAD a beautiful almost all white skunk, til some A--HOLE hit her............one night last summer my bf was sitting on the back patio and realized she was under his chair!!! LOL! When she realized he was there she left quickly, but, peacefully...........he was freaked out when he came back in the house........me, i almost peed my pants laughing...........oh, and NY44M we have woods rats too.........they live near the brook near our house.

DTM, that's how i've been living MY life also. In fact, i have been getting RID of things this past two years or so.......cleaning out the closets, etc. I HAD to get a new, used car because my old lady finally wouldn't go anymore........she was 14 years old. i have had this computer for over 5 years, and the monitor was given to me because my other monitor finally burned out. i haven't been to a movie in I can't remember when, and, I stay home every weekend because i don't HAVE the money to spend anyways. I don't even have cable tv anymore, and don't plan on getting it again after i pay them the 68 dollars i owe them. i have basic telephone, which means NO call waiting etc..........i don't even have long distance, i use a calling card when i need to call my mom, who is the ONLY person I call long distance. I have two pairs of slacks and one pair of shoes, one winter coat, one pair of gloves, etc. I like not having alot of "stuff", and plan on continuing to get rid of everything i don't actively need or use on a regular basis.

All we need is for someone to get sick, someone to have an accident, a pipe to blow in the wall (I can fix stuff but materials still cost money) a car to break down, ANYTHING happens and we are screwed. I can't blame the government though it's NOT the government it is ENTIRELY the fault of big business. They have moved job after job after job overseas. We no longer manufacture our own goods. High paying blue collar jobs are now low paying jobs given to extra man or to illegal immigrants. THAT is the problem. Run away fees and greed are killing us. BUSINESS is killing us not the government...
i feel you, mkr.............i'm in the same situation.........so, was it poor planning on our part? was it involvement in the WT cult.............what is/was it? in the end, i know we all will be okay, but, it gets so scary/overwhelming sometimes............

Priest, for those of us who are living at the very edge of chaos, your "humor" is underappreciated.

I don't know your *story*, but my general reaction is ... if you are continuing to play their game, they will continue to impose their rules. If there is a reason for you to be there (family, etc,) you'll have to pay the price or decide if it is too high for whatever other benefit you are trying to obtain.
exactly...........couldn't have said it any better than what Bisous wrote!

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character...
by digderidoo in...in all fiction:jealous and proud of it; petty, unjust, unforgiving, control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty, ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevent bully.
", says richard dawkins in the god delusion p51.
he goes on to say, "those of us schooled from infancy in his ways can become desensitized to their horror".. would you agree?.

there's a great book out, called "Jehovah Unmaked". I highly recommend it, even though the gentleman who wrote it is a Gnostic Christian, he has some wonderful points he makes about the veracity of biblical translation and it's canon..........
