I'm pleased with these answers because it shows that "the chosen race of Israel's God" told his followers that their "true" prophets would exhibit the same symptoms as the surrounding "demonic" nations.............get what I'm getting at? So, how then, can this "true" God claim that he is any different than the demon gods of these nations........if he was the one telling his followers to watch for these signs? This same God who supposedly was Jesus' father? I am asking these questions because of what a "Christian" and a newbie on this board used as evidence of possession of demonic spirits.......I just wanted to see if my memory was accurate..............

Remember that term that the WTS used in it's pubs? Can anyone (like Blondie) help me out with reference, and explanation of this behavior? In a recent thread, someone made some references to how the demons of Satan cause their adherents to "shudder, twitch" etc..........if I'm not mistaken, isn't that behavior similar to these ones engaged in also who "behaved like prophets"? Any info would be appreciated!

"The Shaman who has been elected by the spirits shows recognizable symptomology: he often becomes extremely nervous and withdrawn, and begins to act strangely. He may also experience epileptoid seizures - regarded by primitive peoples almost all over the world as the sign of a supernatural manifestation. The Siberian term for the psychological condition is amurakh: nervous, solitary, easily frightened, and with a proclivity for imitation and obscenitities" .....
Hmmm.... I wonder whose pulling those strings then
Hmmmmm, makes me think about the account where Saul began "behaving like a prophet" by hurling his spear at David, and trying to pin him to the wall..................the whole Biblical phrase "behaving like a prophet" causes me to pause and wonder......................how far away from these supposedly "detestable" practices of the pagan groups "God's" people were? A new, wholesome, worship of this Hebrew God?????????????? Methinks not..............

Apology accepted, but................
They also focus their attention towards the planets and worship even the "moon goddess" or forms there within. These customs snake straight back towards ancient Babylon. It is interesting to note how the female energy is also pushed to the fore and the male energy often demoted to slave class.
Wow! I'm glad that you got away from whatever group you were involved with, the information I've read about and groups I've been involved with all stress balance between male and female energy. Neither is better, they both have their functions in the natural scheme of things. However, if you want to talk about an imbalance of yin/yang energies, take a good long look at how some "Christians" interpret woman's role in the congregation............now there's some serious demotion to slave class status..........owned by her husband, not allowed to speak in church, has to wear a head covering when praying, can't teach men, encouraged to wear long hair, no makeup or jewelry, etc.........I could go on..............as far as the comments about Babylon, and worship of the moon goddess, well, there are people today who pretty much worship or make idols of alot of different things............like movie stars, singers, diet gurus, money, etc............it is up to these ones to decide if this is a good or bad thing for them.....................worship of who or whatever is a personal thing................many of us here on this board are no longer Christians, and our worship may be condemned in the Bible's eyes............to each their own................I'll check out that author you mentioned, tho, I like to keep an open mind.

Do you ever mention to anyone you were a JW ??? or keep it secret ???
by run dont walk in.
workmates, friends, school friends etc,.
do you ever mention it, or if someone asks you your religion, do you ever mention it, or keep it in your past ??

Whenever I get the chance, I share my experiences of being a JW, why I left, what I've learned.........I want to warn as many people as possible about this destructive cult. I usually tell them "if ya wanna lose all your friends and family and have absolutely no fun in life, then end up with depression and maybe trying to commit suicide, go ahead, join them!

Wouldn't recommend it myself, as it means actively opening yourself up to "spirit guides".
Blanko, that is YOUR opinion and experience............it doesn't mean EVERYONE has the same experience or will. That's what I objected to in your post, that you made a bit of a blanket statement of condemnation..............as I stated in my comments so far, it is necessary to exercise caution........obviously there are some real tricksters that can create serious problems. You have to be on your guard and trust your personal guides to protect you.
