  607 - What is it all about?

  some of you here have a firm belief that 607 was not the fall of jerusalem, contrary to the wt beliefs that it was.

  but, why is it important?

  frankly, i just don't get it.

  It's about some religious nutters back in the 1800's who were trying to attract attention to there teachings by speculating on scriptures and trying to find the date for Christs return. You probably don't understand it because it is all just crazy talk. It is a big obscure hidden bible prophecy that was apparently revealed by god to bible students in the last days.

  Watchtower doctrines like 607 were pretentiously created and devised in order to attract attention from the public in supporting the distribution and proliferation of their literature.

  Sadly for the WTS, the whole prophecy is flawed on so many levels. Jerusalem did not fall in 607, incorrectly applying Jeremiahs 70 yrs, the gentile times, year for a day, the tree image of Daniel 4 applying to gods kingdom and on it goes. . . . . . but never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

  i have just finished an article misquotes, deception and lies and would like your comments, proof reading, and any other examples that you think are important to add.

  most of these already appear on jwfacts.com within specific articles, but it is more powerful seeing them included together.

  Good article.

  I'll second what Calebs Airplane said. Seeing Anthony Morris III fat smug face on that DVD gloating about the false predictions of the bible students is a joke. Fits in nicely with the rest of that DVD though, deceitful misleading bullsh!t spin.

  There was a good one in the Jeremiah book recently, where they quote 607 and then make some reference to a historian trying to lead people to the conclusion that the 607 date is supported by history.

  the new light is a bit of give and take by the gb.

  they have taken upon themselves the title of the faithful and discreet slave, in exchange for pushing the 'appointment over all of his [christ's] belongings' out into the future, and also in exchange for allowing the earthly class to be counted as 'domestics'.

  the gb can now totally lord it as kings over the flock in exchange for having "dignified" them by including them as domestics.

  We don't partake because why? Because the scriptures say not to?

  No, we don't partake because the GB tells us not to, and that is all that matters when it all boils down. And if anyone has any doubts about the teaching, they can just look up some WT references. There. Problem solved.

  i heard very few if any, of the new members on the governing body actually go out in field service more than three hours a month.

  is there a reason why the governing body would excuse themselves from the master's commandments?

  jesus christ never said "spending time writing rules and regulations" was part of matthew 28. .

  I can't see them having enough time for field misery. Well, at least not Anthony Morris III, with all his responsibilities and being a shoe maker on the side. He is just a humble shoe maker/gods mouthpiece.

  we had our special assembly day this weekend.. what the district overseer stated in his talk totally stunned me, and made me feel sick to my stomach.

  he said, "christ is directing us through the governing body, and we cannot get holy spirit except through them!".

  i do not wish to reveal all my thoughts on his statement, but i pray to god that it acts as a wake-up call to at least some of the audience.. suffice to say that the gb is now the mediator to our mediator, and from now on, i will have to pray for holy spirit through the name of the gb!!.

  Suerly no D.O. or C.O. would ever do that!? They have far to much holy spirit gifted to them by the organization for those kinda errors.

  Our C.O says things all the time that is just his opinion. He speaks from the platform as if he is Jehovah counseling the congregation. This syndrome is common among the brothers with 'privileges'.

  countries like guatemala have declared a national emergency and are allocating funds to small farmers to increase the use of fungicides and pesticides on their coffee plants.

  columbia, known for its arabica coffee plants, has seen production fall over 30% due to the 'rust' and in other central american countries the loss has been over 50%.. .

  $11.50 per kilo. That's about average for greens I think. Much cheaper than roasted.

  Where did you hear this info on the Coffee Rust?
