do today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.
I’ve seen and experienced pressure from elders who are committed to getting a resolute answer out of people, basically if you’re for or against JW.org.
I know of a family who were announced no longer JWs after they decorated their house for Xmas, they had not attended meetings for a solid year or more.

i'm prompted to ask this having recently watched a police action movie where "jesus f------g christ" was twice uttered.. in the western world at least, christians & christianity appear to be fair game, (no objections here) but islam verges on being sacrosanct - at least it appears so in the uk..
We bend over backwards to make sure Islam has its freedoms protected, they should be free to worship at mosques, oppress women, hate gays, organise honour killings and just free to do the normal Islam stuff.

l don't know how that will happen considering humanity , as we know it , has been on earth 200,000 yrs and we have been considered civilised for 6000 yrs and nothing much has changed .
The changes have obviously been dramatic since industrialisation and modern medicine. The human population has boomed, and it’s going to get exponentially more cozy real soon.
The problems with mankind should be expected, we have only just arrived as a species and we’re getting shit figured out. God will fix things (he doesn’t exist) or Satan is the cause of problems, neither is really a satisfying explanation for anything.
i never fully realized it until i was just about out.
i adopted the attitude that “if mother says so, mother knows best!”.
it took me a long time to conclude they were actually a cult.
I can say I’m glad my deluded self didn’t require a life saving blood transfusion while I was a JW.
so our family fade is well under way.
we changed congregations as regular attenders and left in good standing with those giving hugs and kisses simply knowing we "needed a change".
we moved to a neighboring congregation that is out of our original region knowing we would see no one and the two boe's wouldn't really have immediate dealings.
I like telling JWs that Anthony Morris is horrible and I can’t stand listening to him speak, and it puzzles me that so many nice JWs venerate such a disgusting person.
