  Jws and poverty

  when i say poverty, i mean not knowing where your next meal is coming from or being unable to pay your bills or afford necessary medicines poverty.

  i'm talking the kinds of poor people who have to get food from charities kind of poor, or long term unemployment living in a trailer/caravan kind of poor.

  holes in clothes poor.

  JWs are immune to poverty because "Jehovah provides".

  Just make sure you attend those meetings and get out in service, the Big J will take care of the bills.

  my husband and i haven't gone to a meeting or memorial in 2 years.

  what a great feeling!

  I can relate to that, as I am sure many here can. Thanks for sharing, glad things are going well for you.

  Thoughts on going back, am I the only one that feels this way?

  hello everyone, i know you have heard this topic before and your probably thinking.

  ...not again lol.. but i was wondering if anyone has thought of going back for the same reasons as myself, i don't think its the truth but i searched and my conclusion is that other religions don't have the truth, they are all wrong in my opinion.

  if there is no other religion to go too, why leave were i was born and raised.

  Crazyguy, how would the "relief of taking a shit" apply to joining the JWs in your analogy.

  I undestand the "hanging out in the bathroom" part, but what relief would come with going back to the KH? Death?

  this morning i was visiting a friend in london and found 3 witnesses outside the tube station.. .

  i asked them if they knew of a cheap local cafe.

  they obliged!

  I have encouraged some people I know who are in contact with witnesses to use this tatic.

  When they start informally witnessing, pressure the JWs to tell you exactly what will happen to you if you don't join the religion.

  Basically, if you don't tell Dad that you love him regularly, Dad will get really pissed off and kill you. Nice.
