i'm sure most are familiar with the greenlee's story floating around the internet.

so what if some members of the governing body have been accused of molesting a child and used the 2 witness rule to silence a accusation?

so could it be that because some high up watchtower corporation person/persons has clung to the rule because it save's his corporate ass.

Almost certainly.

At the very least every branch in the world knowingly tolerated pedos in the congregations. Fair chance some of these child abusers made it to positions of authority.

As far as guns go, most liberals do not know the difference between an AR15 and a Browning BAR or Remington 7400. The latter two are hunting rifles in semi auto. The 223 or 5.56 used in most ARs is more anemic than what most would use for hunting medium game like deer. A 3006, 308 is very common and would do 10x the damage of a 223. And the guns work the same way the AR does. Gas operated self loading. This is why the 1994 crime bill failed.

When hunting humans the 5.56 round has been deemed the most appropriate, by most militaries world wide.

Although not the biggest, it’s still a lethal round and its real value is in being able to carry more ammunition by weight, which is in theory more kills.

it looks like justin trudeau and his comrades caved in to kinder morgans artificial deadline and bought the transmountain pipeline for 4.5 billion taxpayer dollars.

its not a bad deal if they actually finish the expansion.

if not we just bailed out an american company and are on the hook for 4 and a half billion.

so the recent topic about film franchises got me thinking.

sure, we all love the big budget, mainstream releases that are so successful they spawn never-ending (it sometimes seems) sequels.

we could watch marvel and star-wars movies for the rest of our lives (and we might just ...).. but y'know what i love?

Napoleon Dynamite 2004 - Very low budget - No real plot here either. You either love it or you hate it. One of the more quotable movies I've seen because of the quirkyness

Anyone who enjoyed Neapolitan should watch a movie called “Eagle Vs Shark”..

If you laughed at Neapolitan Dynamite, check out Eagle vs Shark. It’s a New Zealand film, very low budget. Very funny.

Random Thought on Drugs/Tobacco Being Sinful Under JW Doctrine

a friend of mine was telling me about her recent trip to peru.

she said she had trouble with the altitude in certain areas of peru but the locals offered her a tea derived from the coca leaf and that helped tremendously with her symptoms.. i began to think about how i would have handled the situation as a jw given that coca contains an alkaloid that is used to produce cocaine.

in its natural form, the content is very low and the locals use it as a stimulant similar to coffee.. however, as a jw i would have probably refused to drink it viewing it as something similar to a product derived from tobacco leaves.

Their double standards are glaring.

So many JWs are overweight, live mostly sedentary lifestyles and consume far more than healthy amounts of alcohol. Prescription meds are consumed like tic tacs.

Cannabis is food, fuel, invaluable as a resource and a medicine.

Education is key. Hemp seed is omega 3 and 6 but also minerals and 30%protein by weight. Don’t fear “marijuana”. Embrace cannabis it’s the future of the planet.

I was playing a first person shooter with a nephew recently and was surprised and a little shocked at the level of realism.
The firearms were detailed to the point where I could read the proof marks. Actions worked correctly, realistic looking shells ejected as they should, you could clearly hear the brass hitting the pavement, wisps of smoke came from both the breech and muzzle just like the real thing - it was stunning.
Of course you couldn't actually feel the recoil in a video game, but the "kick" was simulated very well.
The effect of bullets on bodies was similarly dead on. (Use your imagination....)

You give a mean game review TD.

Guns are rife in Australia. It’s a vast country and guns are the tools needed for Australians who own large property, and there are many.

There is a common misunderstanding that our guns were taken from us. Everyone who needed a gun got the license. Anyone who wants one can get one, providing you get the license. All the laws around owning and registering firearms are very tight. If you’ve got criminal history buying from the blackmarket and paying premium $ is your only option.

We have had numerous gun amnesties, even just had one recently in my state of Queensland which saw many thousands of firearms handed over.

Guns laws in Australia worked, the stats don’t lie. Shootings did occur, but dropped off significantly to almost non existent after gun laws were introduced. I’m talking mass shootings of 4 or more. This is Australia, not a proposed solution for the US.

A licensed gun owner in Australia used his tools to murder his entire family only a few weeks ago. He didn’t stab them, run them down in a truck or van, he need not beat them to death. The gun is the tool for killing.

Tighter laws or adding restrictions on gun owners may work, may not.

Loving the argument that killers will just turn to other methods like driving trucks and cars into people... trucks and cars are everywhere so there is no point in restricting guns.

Wow, flawless logic.
