Just asked a family member who lives in NZ, as he understands there has always been a limit on magazine size either 7 or 10.

Is New Zealand right to ban military style guns?
by ThomasCovenant inin response to the recent terrorist attack in new zealand their government is proposing to ban semi automatic and military style weaponry.. do you agree with this idea?.
would they be better off allowing more of these weapons instead?.
would it be better to perhaps allow more of the muslim community for example, to be armed with semi automatic guns to protect themselves at their places of worship?.

No fuckups, besides my decimal error I’m happy with everything I said.
I’m not certain on the magazine laws currently either.

What arguments don’t hold water? You are ranting.
The magazines he had were illegally obtained, he wasn’t licensed for them and some of the references he used in obtaining weapons were poor.
The 5.56mm is easily carried in abundance like you said, main reason why it’s so well adopted and probably why this nut job had a car full of it.

NZ already had a ban on the 30 round capacity magazine used.

The actual fucking nut himself, he planned the attack and he used the .556.

The question is ? Why do you need a fully / semi automatic weapon
Eradicating feral animals from a helicopter, the semi-auto rifle is the ideal tool because repeated aimed shots are possible and often needed. Any property or business owners who have legitimate needs will have no problem.
. This idea of high powered weaponry just in case is, just a conspiracy.
I have noticed many gun lovers in the USA have weird combat fantasies.

Thanks, I like you have a basic understanding of the ballistics. Every .556 he shot was potentially lethal. He wasn’t hunting a single person from 700m away. He packed as many rounds as possible, he was driving to another mosque.

New Zealand will do what is right for New Zealand
I agree.
The gun laws that currently exist in NZ could have prevented this disaster if they were correctly applied, it seems the police failed on checks.
Criticising the NZ prime minister is poor form. This country averages 50 homicides a year, this fuckwit shot over 100 people in a few minutes and even children as young as 5 weren’t spared. It was horrendous even by the standards of the USA, but beyond comprehension that it happened in NZ, I can forgive the lady for being emotional.
Thomasdam, your summary on the .556 round was bullshit. It’s ideal for killing humans in numbers.
Besides the obvious harm, the worst thing about this massacre is the damage it will have on political conversations particularly over immigration reform in Australia and NZ. The constant grandstanding from the left is already unbearable.

7 Jehovah’s Witnesses Brutally Tortured in Russia
by Drearyweather inhttps://jw-russia.org/en/news/19021923-622.html.
at least seven of jehovah’s witnesses were subjected to torture—electric shocks, suffocation, and cruel beatings—on the first floor of the russian investigative committee’s building at ul.
ostrovskogo, d. 47, in surgut.

Besides the obvious few comments devoid of any empathy or decency, I sense more concern among the apostate community for the well being of Russian JWs than actual JWs themselves.
Many of the affluent JWs I associate with don’t seem to appreciate the treatment JWs are receiving in Russia, they just seem excited they now have something to prove that they’re right, and I’m wrong.

What JW Beliefs Did You Find Difficult To Explain?
by minimus inthere are a lot.
anything blood related was difficult to reasonably prove from a witness perspective.. 1914 was another one.
what can you add to the list?

There was a stupid campaign JWs were doing about religion being banned, it must have been about 10+ years ago it came after the urgent “Keep on the Watch” trumpet blast.
It was embarrassing having to sneak around the streets in my finest clothes trying to place that nonsense in lettboxes undetected, I wasn’t going to explain that crap to anyone when I couldn’t fathom it myself.

Do elders still ask inactive members to write a letter to disassociating yourself from the Congregation?
by RULES & REGULATIONS indo today's elders ever meet with inactive members and pressure them to write a letter disassociating themselves from the congregation stating that, ''you no longer wish to a jehovah witness"?.
i was baptized at the young age of 16. after turning 18, i stopped attending meetings, field service, and all jehovah's witness activities.
i wanted to be with my high school friends, go to rock concerts, have a girlfriend, and live like a normal teen.

I’ve seen and experienced pressure from elders who are committed to getting a resolute answer out of people, basically if you’re for or against JW.org.
I know of a family who were announced no longer JWs after they decorated their house for Xmas, they had not attended meetings for a solid year or more.
