Not me, but I sympathise, I walked out of an assembly and knew I couldn't go through that anymore, and I haven't and am so much happier for it.

Anybody at an assembly right now?
by OneDayillBeFree ini know this is a long shot and my identity as a witness is certainly at stake but anyone at a circuit assembly right now who is mentally out/disfellowshipped/faded who'd like to meet up?.
i can't disclose the location but i'm curious though.
i mean i know that there are assemblies and conventions all year long so i'm pretty sure there's more than one going on now but i'm extremely bored and annoyed and can barely keep from showing my anger at hipocresy and lies that are being said on the platform!

Hi All - Finally Posting Here!
by Pyramid Scheme infirst off, i owe this site a tremendous debt of gratitude.
i have been an inactive witness for 4 glorious years, and the spark that began my fade out of the organziation was this site and paul's jwfacts.com.
it opened my eyes to a whole new world of insight, and i discovered that there were so many people out there like me - still a "spiritual" individual, but completely disgusted with the jw organization.

Horrible day
by 88JM ini just had to come on here and vent - i'm having a horrible day.. firstly, had to sit through a horrible public talk about obedience to the "superior authorities" (whoever they decide that is this week) - all kinds of crazy stuff taking verses in romans way out of context.. then had to sit through that hideous watchtower defending david.
one brother actually used the words "we want to follow in david's footsteps" - i was nearly ready to vomit.
just a total gloss-over.

I feel for you 88JM, I think next time you are such a situation you may act differently, perhaps dropping interesting one liners, it's the being caught off guard that can annoy you.
I'm in Scotland too, I stopped going well over a year ago, I'm not DA or DF'd, happy to chat privately if you need a hearing ear.

Remarkable Statistic - Bible Studies compared to Baptisms
by jwfacts ini am surprised i have not noticed this before, particularly since this is one of the most important statistics, and so have just added the new graphs to watchtower publisher statistics.. the number of bible studies generally trends roughly with the number of publishers on a one to one basis.
however, the number of baptisms has not been rising.
this has resulted in a rapidly falling conversion rate.

That's very interesting. Pity we can't differentiate between real studies and family studies, conversion stats then will be ridiculous.

I saw my MIL last night, she said I'd have enjoyed the meeting as the whole meeting was about the internet. I said 'oh really, i thought the internet was evil' She kept repeating jw.org as if they had to remember the address for fear of stumbling across anything else. I asked if she found it useful, she said she doesnt know how she'll use it, she doesn't have a PC, it took me weeks to show her how to use a cordless phone!

Good Reasons To Hate Every Weak And Ex-Jehovah Witness.
by AuntConnie in1. my husband's time is finite, it's wasted on spouses arguing over money, sex or family mattters with stupid home visits.. .
i hate people's constant open hand for money, it's the weak individuals asking others to pull their weight.
my family worked extra hours instead of begging the strong members for district assembly money, cat food for seven cats or tiny little rag-a-muffins weiner dogs.. .

Welcome AC
It seems to me you have been living by the rules to create yourself a lifestyle, and you have become dissillusioned by it. That is understandable, in the cult you are into, you will only find dissappointment.
I am concerned that you are heading for a breakdown, can i suggest you take a vacation from your JW activities for a couple of weeks and try to see life from a different perspective. I'd also recommend seeing your mum, don't live with regret over not seeing her before it is too late.
The expression, 'cannot see the woods for the trees' comes to mind as I read your posts.
To fellow 'weak and exjws' - remember we can see things a lot more clearly than 'good jws' who have been indoctrinated.
