I lost a good friend yesterday
by zed is dead ini am really going to miss having her as a close friend.
we both helped each other this past year, as we were both dealing with the passing of people we loved.
she was a strong part of my support group.

I'm in, and having a hard time biting my tongue sometimes
by noonehome ini spend allot of time with other young witnesses my age, and am very close to a few of these friends.
my question is, is there any way to safely talk about doubts?
for instance, i've been learning allot about evolution and the science behind the flood (or lack thereof).

I told my doubts to 2 people, a close friend who had faded and we have great discussions, the other was an elder friend I had, a few months after I left i met another elder who said 'i hear you have apostate leanings'
Be careful who you talk to. 'Fortunately' I left with depression so the elders are wary when talking to me.

typical circuit assembly
by nowwhat? inon the plus side there was good council about families and then there is that special feeling of the brotherhood you get.. on the negative side, the d.o.
gave the "ol talk about the "busier we are, it won't seem like the new world is taking so long" talk.
that's fine if you do'nt work for a living.

We had a CO over for lunch one time, he watched the cricket all afternoon as his afternoon appointment was 'cancelled'

Thanks for sharing, all the best to Stirling and his wife, glad they are finding their way. I could relate to a lot of what was being said.

They want it both ways
by jeremiah18:5-10 inseveral years ago the wts stopped announcing individuals who were df'd as, "so-and-so has been disfellowshipped" and instead began announcing, "so-and-so is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses".
this seems to be rather important to me.
undoubtedly this change was fueled by legal issues raised by someone who was df'd and impacted in some way perhaps financially.

The change was made in the revised OM book, and the CO pointed it out on his visit/checkup with the elders several years ago. Don't remember exactly when, and I don't recall anyone asking why the change.
