  Do People Believe We Are Condemned B/c of Adam and Eve?

  i find the notion that we inheirited sin through adam and eve to be a quaint, silly notion.

  if you believe in the power of god, why would god create such a flawed creation?

  few people believe the stories in genesis.

  I have entertained the idea that mankind came by Darwin's theory of evolution, and that the evolution process was God's design, however, to be consistant with the Christian teaching of the ransom, Adam and Eve would need to be a direct creation in the evolution chain and were free mortal agents with the choice of Eternal life or Eternal death.

  The foreordained plan from eternity was NOT one of condemnation, but an opportunity of eternal life. The pivitol point in history (time) where eternity erupted into our world was the death and resurrection of the slain lamb of God. The FIRST and the LAST. In this one act all consequences of freewill, sin, evil, and all conditions for righteousness and justice was established forever. The cross foolishness to the wise of this world, but is Gods wisdom and power.

  Why most young/teen JW's are born-in's?

  age 8-18 or maybe older.why won't you find young people or teens in the world who want to learn about the jw's without being taught by their parents?i mean c'mon guys we all know that the majority of the jw youth are jw's because their mothers,fathers or both told them about the org.any thoughts?.

  The WTBTS has nothing to offer Young people. When I was gainfully employed (a long time ago), the CEO was Mormon. He employed young Mormon guys for the summer work load in the lab. They were great kids to work with, and they had a lot of activities in the south Florida area.

  I believe, I might be Personaly responsibly for corrupting some of these young minds, as I used my "Irish" "Pog Mo Thoin" greeting every morning.

  Some months later it was reported to me, that one of the Young Mormon guys was able to translate this Irish expression to his Mormon community as they watched the movie "Blown Away", as Jeff Bridges disses his captain with same expression in Irish of course. LOL

  i keep crossing paths with people who are in recovery, that is, recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

  these folks regularly attend alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous meetings and are all somewhere in the process of working the 12 steps of recovery.

  the organization denies affiliation with any legal entity; a blatant deception, a lie they tell new ones and each other at each and every meeting.

  AA and similar groups share the basic steps for spirituality. The raw observation of being totally honest about ourselves, warts and all, the acceptance of a "higher power" outside of ourselves, that can change that issue or take it from us, that is out of control in our life.

  I came to a better appreciation of Christianity when seeing these principles work in active application of living my baptism daily (a luthern practice) Christian baptism is being connected to Christs death, "letting go", dead in Christ", "denial of self", and being raised in his ressurection power, "letting God" for daily spiritual strengh outside of my own imperfect Adamic nature.

  Denial of oneself and reliance on a "god" is fundemantal to spirituality. Christians should have the same attitude as these guys in AA who stand up and admit their failings and weakness, even if they have been sober for over 50 years, every humbling and pure honesty !

  We don't need a doctor unless we relize our sickness, that effects our families, friends and keeps us from the person that God intended us to be, a perfected child in his image.

  Your earliest doubt?

  this might be an unfair question for those who have been out of the organization for decades, but i'm wondering if any of you remember your earliest doubt -- maybe something odd that occurred to you as a kid (if you were a jw then).

  please try to limit to two doubts at the most :-).

  i think my first "doubt" was simply realizing that at the time of the flood, every animal that wasn't in the ark died (well, besides the fish, supposedly).

  Do the elders have "clear direction" that it's ok to use an ipad at meetings?

  i read this post more than a year ago: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/212313/1/watchtower-publications-for-ipad.

  since i saw it, i've been waiting for the first brother or sister to show up at the hall with an ipad to see what happens.

  a little here and there at the conventions and assemblies.

  Dont get your hopes up. I have speculated that the org. will have Their own "approved" (hardwired and censored) iPad in conjunction their JW.ORG registered trade mark.

  Any suggestions for a name for such a device ?

  How about .......watchPad...( they know where you have been surfing via feedback cookies ooooooooooo)
