  my first glimpse into the horror and beauty that lurk uneasily in the human heart came in the mid 1980s.

  i was born in 1987 at a time when my natal town- a population of 2 000 000 was in the midst of one the most brutal civil war in the history of the continent.. thinking back, i am amazed that wars terrifying images have since taken on a somewhat muted quality.

  it requires sustained effort to recall the dread, the pangs of hunger, the crackle of gunfire that once made my heart pound.

  Is it not hypocritical of the WTB&TS to acknowledge women can be a part of the 144000 annointed ones to rule with Christ ,yet deny them a place on the Governing Body ?

  if jehovah and jesus see fit to allow women to be a part of the ruling elite in heaven for a thousand years , who are the g.b.to deny them that privelidge on earth ?

  the basis of family life since adam & eve is the complimentary balance of male and female input ,so shouldnt that rule also apply to the governing of a christian congregation ?.

  i guess the concept of trinity is not illogical at all... .

  trinity = three person as triune god (3 person that is the same/equal in one office).

  gb = 8 persons that form an organisation that is bigger than christ & god, worshipped by the jws.

  Can 70 years be symbolic in the Bible?

  in isaiah 23:.......tyre will be forgotten for seventy years....the span of a kings life !

  in my morning bible reading i came across the above verse were 70 years is equated to the span of a kings life !

  the wbts along will many seem to take a very rigid approach with dates and numbers and apply it to date setting end times etc, ...when it may be just a generalization.

Jubilee deals largely with land, property, and property rights. As with most cultures, the property rights regarding land, slaves and indentured servants was less absolute than for other property rights such as for tools and personal artifacts. [citation needed]

  The biblical rules concerning Sabbatical years (shmita) are still observed by many religious Jews in the State of Israel, but the regulations for the Jubilee year have not been observed for many centuries.
