He also criticized women for wearing tight pants, so he must secretly be straight as well.

Is Anthony Morris III gay?
by Calebs Airplane inwhy else would he constantly bring up "gay-inspired" clothing when speaking to such large audiences?.
nothing wrong with being gay.
but he should just come out of the closet already and stop all this stupidity... just saying.. .

Over 1,000,000 in attendance and you are worried about tight pants?
by Separation of Powers inyou know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.
" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.
but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".

Oubliette: Ah, thanks for pointing that out.
Awake at last: Yep, he mentioned his wife's name, Sue, in the talk.

Tony Morris definitely wishes we still lived in the '50s. I haven't seen anyone mention yet the part when he says that a CO was "man enough" to say 'no' to working with a brother in FS who was wearing tight pants. He then backs up and amends "man enough" to "spiritual man enough" to make it sound more Biblically-based, and then uses that expression once more in the next minute. Funny way to cover for an old-fashioned statement that he knows is not politically correct.

Who was the GB member who said that he is required to wear a suit while flying places to give talks? A member on here like to recount having heard that in a talk. Is that GB also not under the authority of the Watchtower Society? Doesn't sound like it to me.

I Waited Until My Wedding Night To Lose My Virginity And I Wish I Hadn't...
by Divergent ini found this article interesting & just wanted to share.
after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.
i was feeling miserable, repressed, unfulfilled, with a great lack of self confidence & self esteem.

"I bet you're going to have one busy wedding night!"
When we got home, I couldn't look anyone in the eye. Everyone knew my virginity was gone. My parents, my church, my friends, my co-workers.
One reason why I never considered getting married, being raised as a JW, was dreading precisely those sorts of comments and that kind of outcome. Everyone would assume I'd lost my virginity when they saw me the day after the wedding. Even if I tried to avoid being the victim of this kind of intimate knowledge that no one had the right to, by specifically telling my wife, "Let's wait a while after getting married", no one would know or believe that, and would insist on giving me a knowing leer after the honeymoon. It was demeaning and I refused to contemplate being subjected to it, so marriage was out of the question.

As I move further away from theWT.....
by Viviane ini've, over the years, looked into many religions.
obviously, from those that have seen me post here, i've become an atheist simply because i couldn't find any reason to believe in god.
recently, though, over the past few months, a new change has started.

When Satan appeared as a serpent and tempted Adam and Eve, is it possible that the devil stole their extra chromosome causing them to fall into sinful behavior which has led to violence, evil, and death to be passed down through the human race?
Oh. My God.

I see, my mistake. On another thread you claimed that Morris used to go by another name, and it sounded to me like you were suggesting the same of Loesch. I was reading too quickly.

OrphanCrow, I take exception to this thing you're doing where you act as if the GB members are some sort of fake identities. Did you live near the U.S. headquarters as a Witness? I'm guessing not. There are plenty of people who remember the GB members when they were DOs, COs, and elders, back to their original congregations. There is not some deep DaVincian mystery here waiting to be solved. They are born-ins and converts who rose up through the ranks to where they are now.
