  After 2000 years since JC was executed ,why have we heard not a whisper from GOD ALMIGHTY ?

  he/she had no problem talking to adam and eve ,though they were sinners in his/her sight .throughout the hebrew sriptures, ot, he /she had no problem communicating with fallen man ,imperfect humans , to dictate his will to his subjects by means of prophets , male and female ,according to the bible , the old testament ,the hebrew scriptures , god communicated not once ,not twice ,not even thrice ,but dozens of times during the first 4000 years of human history according to the bible.. why has this god been so silent these past 2000 years ,when their have been atrocities above the scale of anything that has ever been seen these past 6000 years of human existence .. oh you may say that the atrocities were not committed by god they were committed by man.

  fair enough .but god intervened in human affairs in such smaller infringements.

  with prophets or so the bible says.. the so called apostacy after the last of the apostles , the influence of satan in the world ,( or was that after 1914 ,) and the 2000 year gap when christ was supposed to return ,never mind about all the crap that went before it .. the fact remains we have never heard from god ,any god, or even" a " god, with either his/her approval or disapproval of events good or bad these past 2000 years... smiddy.

  i just noticed that the august 2012 "our kingdom ministry" has at the bottom of the last page a two dimensional bar code!.

  when did that start?.

  is the watchtower putting bar codes on its other publications as well?.

  I agree about what Adamah is saying although I must say that even in modern times we as western people endorse slavery (actively or passively). If there weren't "modern" slaves then there were no iphones, no cheap clothing, no toys... nothing. If there were no "slaves" then there were no prostitutes... most of them do this "work" because they need money... not because they like this "work". We all endorse it because we buy it and/or use it: supply and demand so to speak. If the demand was not there we would not have to have these issues. Do we count it as normal that people in China and other countries are working their buts of and are not able to buy proper food with their wage, so that we can have our products? It is nothing more then modern slavery and still it is excepted worldwide. Most of us ARE slaves... we work and have taskmasters... if we do not do our work properly we get fired, loose our jobs etc etc. There is nothing new there. A lot of taskmasters ARE bullies... they do not use tools to hit people but use verbal violence or threats. We just give slavery a other name.

  @Cold Steel I did not respond to the conversion part because I was not willing to answer that one that day. Your tone seems a bit judgemental where only God can judge people. If I have overwhelming evidence and proof I will not only have faith but would absolutely be converted. I have always been like that: If I believe in something/someone I will go for it and for the full monty. That is why being in a snare of cult was hardass for me... it totally sucked me up.

  About skeptisism: you were a converted JW once... skeptisism got you out right? Skeptisism led you to the way you want to follow... I do not say you shouldn't because if it makes you happy then it is ok with me... I am just saying that because you became skeptical you could choose something else.

  About the use of scriptures: You do not seem to understand what I mean... if I say to you to proof me why a certain book or document is legit then it means I do not see that book as an authority untill I have the proof in hand. After all... it may be a fraud. What happens here is that I tell you to proof me it is legit... and you start to get things out of these scriptures of which I told you does not hold authority.

  It is the same as me asking you why a Donald Duck magazine is from devine origin . An answer like "because in volume 53 of the donald duck, donald is wearing wings and casts lightening on his neighbour" is not proof... it is instead the same magazine which origins I question that is trying to back up it's own divineness... Do you understand what I am saying? I want proof that the BIBLE or any other book is from divine origin... thus far I have only seen evidence of the contrary...

  As a witness this always annoyed me when I was walking with an other witness in service. A person at the door tells the publisher that he does not believe what the bible says... the publisher is taking the bible and shows the book of timothy about the importance of the bible. I then thought: dude... he tells you he does not believe in the bible and you get quotes from that book instead of proving why you should believe in the bible.

  this morning i get a frantic call from my sister (who has been baptized 1 year and one month and never attends meetings anymore).

  in tears she tells me that this morning my father picked her up in the car and told her that i was am apostate.

  that i no longer loved jehovah and that i was going to be disfellowshipped.

  a perfect witness family.. only not so perfect: they say "jehovah is first for us and above everything else.

  @Cold Steel ... English is not my native language so playing "word-games" with me does not work ;)

  Some people do not understand this simple fact: they refer to a book which I am not seeing as an authority (anymore). The reason is there are too many uncertainties about the origins of the writings/writers and the inconsistencies that are found in these scriptures are enormous. Trying to convince me by refering to the bible or to biblical figures or saying things like "The bible says..." or "The book of Mormon says..." are useless because for me it holds no authority.

  The other reason, as I have stated before, is that I find it hard to believe that God is interfering with people the whole time in the past and suddenly nothing happens for over 2000 years. It is the same as leaving a child alone with his mum... going to a other country for 30-40 years and coming back and say to his child: hey boy! I am your father so you better listen to me... how many credit does that "father" get from his kids?

  Let me refer to a scripture in the same book that I do no conscider a authority but religious people do... Proverbs 29:15:

  15 v The rod and reproof give wisdom,

  but a child left to himself wbrings shame to his mother.

  good evening folks!

  we have encountered this advice countlessly on wt study articles.

  this especially comes out to ease the waiting pain of brothers eagerly waiting for god's new world and the end of the old system of things - with all the sufferings that go along with it.. i also noticed this being floated to try to extend the patience of brothers who are jumping ahead of the organization in terms of thinking - as if they are pre-empting the organization on certain sensitive views and issues.. if a brother has gotten an idea or insight that is far more superior than the present affairs in the society, or regarded as way in advance - he can be branded as a brother "not in order".
