  i've been lurking here for some time and decided to take the plunge and jump in.

  i was a witness for 16 years, baptized in 1981 when i was in my early 20's.

  My daughter called this am/after 3yrs

  iam pleased to report, my jw daughter called me this morning.. needless to say i was thrilled to hear from her.

  as many of you know to well, it is a small blessing, but huge when it's coming from an active jw.. i have decided to leave off talking anything jw related, and just enjoy getting caught up on the latest in her life.. there is hope.. danny

  OH, this is great news. I'm so happy for you, I'm crying like a blooming idiot. Let her bring up all the JW stuff, all you want to do is catch up on all you've missed. What a wonderful thing that has happened. Make sure you start making future plans, this makes it more solid for you and her. Vacations, dinners, theatres, this will add to a lasting relationship.

  now, what will follow is a post from a 15 yo kid on silentlambs.

  you know, i rememeber feeling much like him.

  i think witties are getting the impression that we think they they as people are pedos......they don't realize the corruption that we're fighting is their leadership, and their outdated prejudices.. "not much more can be said that hasn't been said already...i'm just wondering, why are you, (or anyone else who is) so hateful toward jehovah's witnesses...i beleive that you are entitled to your own oppinion, and you are free to think what you want to think.

  You seem to be a very nice JW and sincere. I appreciate that.

  You are a 15 year old JW, who:(1) Has a free spirit (your Mom allows that) (2) you associate with non-jws and your 2 best friends are non-jws (3) you use the internet to associate with DF, DA, disgruntled ones, APOSTATES, etc.

  Dave you may not realizd this, but you have been committing DFing acts. Just copy your post and give it to your elders and maybe you'll get the full 'theocratic picture'. Also, your Mom may have to attend a few meetings with the elders, because she allows you to do do things that the WTS says NOT TO DO.
  
  Yes, a lot of terrible things happen in all religions, but, when you profess to be 'the only TRUE religion', well enough said.

  Dave, have you tried viewing other sights, such as, SILENTLAMBS, FREEMINDS, RESEARCH ON THE WT, ECT. Just go to the bottom of the page where it says VISIT and you might find a lot of valuable info.

  i cant believe that my dyed-in-the-wool jw wife is doing exactly what i want her to do.

  she stayed home from the meeting (headache) and we watched dateline.

  her face showed some shock but i was very cool about the entire thing.

  This is so, so funny! A DFD friend we haven't seen or tal;ked to in 4 years got our ph# from a DR. friend of ours. He was at the DR. house doing some work for them and they started discussing our family. The DR's wife told him that we were no longer JWs and he was floored. He called just in time to find out about Dateline. He and his never=been-a-jw- wife watched the program and the next day he was back on the phone.........he is in shock. He made the comment that gov'ts will turn on religion for sure because of the catholic problem and the JWs.
  What a laugh. He's terribly upset that this is going on.

  He wants his on personal copy of Dateline. I think he should have one, so he can show his huge family of JWs.

  He's a great guy and we're glad that he found us. Timing is everything. Do you think that the Angels guided him? HA! HA!

  'You better not or else'. I certainly DO BELIEVE Erica! Why, because I've had the same thing said to me. You turn Bro. ------ into the police or FBI we'll DF you. You do and you'll be sorry, the entire elder body will see to it. Yeppy, "In my heart I believe that" she's telling the truth. How many times was I told this, I can't remember. This was not concerning anything to do with child molestation or rape. It's the WTS leverage over you.

  I can't believe anyone could have watched this and still defend the WTS so zealously. Are we not glad, people, that we have gotten out of her? Are we not glad, people, that we possess the 'Accurate knowledge'
  to help those held captive by the WTS to find the real truth?

  Do you remember how at the assemblies how DO & CO would pose their questions to those attending? Then everyone would applaud. Good heavens, just remembering this makes me sick!

  Dateline and My Mother-Part 2

  i watched dateline and within minutes of the jw section being completed, i called my mother.

  i could tell she had been crying.

  GET READY...your Mom is about to go thru the wildest roller-coaster ride of her life (and you too, if you stick with her). She now is fitting pieces of info that she has acquired for years together. Statements like, Jehovah will take care of this, wait on JAH, JAH's people are being persecuted by apostates, etc.
  Your Mom has started thinking for herself and this is dangerous for her...for her eyes have been opened.

  Stay close by the phone, she's gonna want to talk more.

  dateline is just 24 hours (give or take) away.

  i really do expect to see a great deal of online activity as people search for more information.

  jwd is likely going to be one of the most visited due to the large amount of information posted here on the subject, much by silentlambs themselves.. i also expect to see people visiting randy's excellent site as well as watchtower observer for copies of documentation,news articles, etc.

  2 WITNESSES NEEDED

  here's why children are suffering.... dueteronomy 19:15 says...........no single witness should rise up against a man respecting any error or a sin, in the case of any sin that he may commit.. at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses the matter should stand good.

  16. in case a witness scheming violence should rise up against a man to bring a charge of revolt against him, 17. the two men that have the dispute must also stand before jehovah, before the priests and the judges, who will be acting in those days.

  18 and the judges must search thoroughly, and if the witness is a false charge against his brother.

  Two Witnesses needed/Lie detector test

  We had jw employees who were embezzling/slandering/breaking contracts, you name it. We had all the evidence to prove and disprove, it did not matter. We requested a lie detector and said we would take one also(we would pay for it). You think with all the evidence we had would have been enough, but NO. Because we requested a lie detector test WE WERE NOT CHRISTIANS, BECAUSE WE WANTED TO RELY ON A WORLDLY DEVICE THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. It really didn't matter who was right or who was wrong. They wanted us gone! My hubby was the PO (we were sent to this troubled cong).

  The bottom line was...you go to the police..you get DFD, that's WTS justice.

  Yes, child molestation is far more serious than what happened to us, but the proceedure is the same. All crimes are to be dealt with within the cong., their way. If you are the victim, you must remain a victim to prove your loyalty to the WTS.
