It was just about two months ago ,that I realized the NWT was not the "same".I was reading scriptures from the NIV on bible gateway and comparing them to the NWT..I felt like I was reading them for the first time and seeing something totally different from what they teach. just little ittie bittie words and the way they rephase the scriptures,to twist them to their way of belief......sneakie

what prompted this topic was when an ex-jw ( ex-elder ) friend of mine told me that once when he was doing a "car" witness with three others, near to christmas time, they lost one of them!

after a bit of searching along the route, the others eventually found him in a house, eating a mince pie and drinking a glass of brandy!.

my friend reminded him that he shouldn't be participating in these " worldly things.

I was always "scared" my daughter would need blood,because I knew I would not let her die.I just left because there was no way I could live a JW life.

At first I thought they were ok,but as time went on,I thought this is just way to controling for me.We all should be happy ,that we are all strong people in mind and emoution.We left and we are all ok.Some are still healing ,I know I am.Look at it this way.

Do you still call on God, by the name Jehovah?

the other night i was upset and decided to pray to god.

i was outside looking at the stars and wondering if i was talking to myself or if he is really out there somewhere.. as i prayed i didnt know who to address, i have said jehovah, jesus, father, who ever is out there please hear me.

i don' t mean to be disrespectful in saying it that way , but just confused.. many of you know we havent been to a meeting in over a year .

only 3 meals a day

do you remember the elders having talks about only eating three meals a day.. yes, i agree with eating healthy,but my daughter's grandmother is a jw.

my daughter told me when she was visiting her,her nanny was saying she was hungry and she wasn't suppose to eat because of the meetings.also she already ate supper.well my daughter told me..she said f-them and she ate anyways....hehe .

isn't that nutts tho,feeling you are controled about how to eat?

What thing did you do when you left

what was one thing you did and really wanted to do when you left the jw's;what you couldn't do because of the organization?.

mine was martial arts.

I wasn't raised in the meetings,so I experinced a lot before I joined the club.Mabey more than I should have

I was glad to give the holidays to my children,my daughter was 5 when I started to celerbrate again and she was so over whelmed(sp)

She cried and my mother and my self went nutts that christmas,making up for all those lost yrs.lol
