The animal shelter I get it from is called the Bide Awhile.They are very awesome with animals.No putting to sleep.Only if there is an illness that cannot be cured or if they are ferel and cannot be tamed at all. Very good place. I volenteered there yrs back and some of the cats would freak me out! lol One was so freaking huge and the teeth popped out of his mouth and hung down past his chin! I never saw that on a cat before! I did manage t o clean him up and brush his fur.I was damn scared tho..lol

help" is a matter of perspective. Some help by donating. Others help by going to the affected area and actually doing something about it. Others post on forums stuff like "the suffering are in my thoughts and prayers" while sitting in front of a computer. We could sit here and criticize half of the world on how they decide to "help". Some are now criticizing because other countries have not pledged their help to New Orleans. The government will get it's share of criticism on the way they handled this storm. You criticize JWs for their actions in 2001 by saying they did nothing to help out. JWs will disagree. They will never do enough in your eyes. It is your perspective on the matter.

Of course they arenot going to help much,we're all birdy food anyways.

all he said as we watched a little of it last night, is "and that's in the heart of the 'bible belt' of america".......... to me it was a put down of the south, and completely devoid of any understanding.

all i said was: "these people down there have nothing to begin with".

as in another thread, i cannot believe my eyes when i see these thugs are terrorizing hosptials, rescue efforts, etc.

JW's don't see pass their own nose.Its up too high...

I seen on the news,baptise(sp) buses there for aide and picking the homeless up.I haven't heard anything yet of the WTS giving aide and in my opinion,if they do,its just for themsleves.

Its to help the people,who cares where they are from.Those people are in a mess and I can't imagine what hell they are going threw.

Good to see,they are getting aide.Do they ever need it and more.
