  When I was a kid, I didn't want to be a JW.

  i'm thinking back to my childhood here, and remembering hanging out with my jw friends.

  my buddies and i, when we were 9, 10 years old knew that we wouldn't stay jws.

  we hated the restrictions that were put on us and hated being different.

  My last District Convention (I hope) ... observations

  so last weekend was my last district convention.

  i plan on breaking the news to my wife real soon.

  nowadays even at the meetings my blood pressure raises and my back gets all tense as i sit and listen to some of the stuff we are supposed to believe.

  Had a jw non-father's day today

  then he brought me a present.

  I didn't grow up to be a JW and I know I still did lil things for the 4/5 yrs I was involved.

  why do some parents make hair cuts a big issue and some dont?

  now my dad wants me to get my hair cut.

  I'm just happy my kids don't want to look like freaks..... My daughter has done some things to her hair I sure didn't like but sometimes kids have to do what they want.For some reason .... its a learning experince.She will never do those things again..LOL!! One time her hair came out a pumkin orange.She wouldn't listen to mama,but I think she will now!

  My 4 yr old daughter,I'm lucky that I can brush her hair and make her look like she has a mother.lol Sees a brush its run and hide time and screaming...

  As long as you look clean and don't stink(lol),causing no trouble,who cares if you have longer hair...anyways I don't think there is anything wrong with fellas having longer hair.

  Heads-up on two sure-cures for colds, flu, viruses, etc.

  i've seen so many of yall suffering with colds, flu, viruses, etc.....well....either yall or yall's family members.

  and it's kinda frustrating to sit back, knowing what i know and have experienced as cures for me and my family members, so that we don't get sick from these things anymore.

  it isn't ethical to advise yall to use these treatments, so i'll just let yall know what has worked for us and let yall use your own judgment on whether to try these methods.

  Recently Disfellowshipped

  i having been "lurking" around here for about a month--right when i was disfellowshipped actually.

  in a year long relationship--broke up-five months later had a bout of conscience and told on myself.

  myself and my ex are disfellowshipped and now most of my former group of "friends" are getting in trouble.

  i was in the thinking room yesterday morning doing my usual routine, and between grunting and showering my mind was wondering when i came upon what i thought to be a great idea.

  this weekend is the weekend for the district convention where all the good little jw's will be attending.

  so i thought, if the jw's are at the convention, who's going to be at the kh?
